Melbourne Renegades possible team:

+ Dooley

(also in squad: O'Donnell, Blows, Gardner, Wareham)

Adelaide Strikers possible team:

Mack

Wolvaardt
McGrath (capt)

(also in squad: Barsby, O'Neil, Dixon, Bryson-Smith)

Strikers are on a roll at the moment and will be hard to beat. Katie Mack is in the form of her life, McGrath, Wolvaardt and van Niekerk are also contributing with the bat consistently (all four are in the top 15 run scorers for WBBL07), while the bowling line up is probably the best in the league. I think they will beat the Renegades tomorrow and then beat the Scorchers on the weekend.

The Strikers' losses this season:
  • Heat by 4 runs
  • Scorchers via super over
  • Renegades with 2 balls rem.
  • Stars by 37 runs
  • Scorchers by 12 runs
  • Stars with 3 balls rem.
Only one poor performance, very stiff to be 7-6 in the H&A. They'll be one of the best teams in 7 years to miss the final... if they miss the final.

I was thinking about who leads that pack, and it must be the Thunder in WBBL|04. Their five losses were:
  • Sixers by 36 runs
  • Scorchers by 3 runs
  • Scorchers with 1 ball rem. (a then record run chase of 180)
  • Heat with 3 balls rem. (Mooney century)
  • Heat by 4 runs in the semis (Birkett last ball catch)
On their best days, the Thunder weren't quite as ruthless as this year's Strikers who have won 5 matches while chasing, all by 8 wickets.

Adelaide did that in a canter.

Katie Mack is on an unbelievable run at the moment, I think she up to 350 runs in the last seven innings and has only been dismissed once. Incredible.
