Brown was just rested but Penna could miss with her recurring shoulder issue.

Might be a bit of rain in Adelaide throughout the day, doesn't seem like it should be much of an issue by game time.

Adelaide have been fairly settled throughout the tournament, with only 12 players used. Of these, 8 players have played all 14 matches.

Assuming a like-for-like replacement, O'Neil would be the best replacement for Penna.

Or they could just play an extra bowler (Barsby) as they did when Penna missed some matches recently.

I caught a part of the (Ch 7) commentary team's interview with AJ Wellington, who mentioned "long balls".

Maybe I missed part of the interview where context was provided. But I'm having a bit of trouble working out what "long balls" are.
Is it just bowling from well behind the popping crease?

Yes.

Yadav might get good turn but there also seemed to be no shortage of bounce for Wellington. Didn't look like de Klerk is going to be able bowl, so that throws another spanner in the works (at least they picked Bosch in that revolving door spot though).

Maybe much fewer people are watching and attending than ideal but weeknight WBBL (especially the proper prime time televised stuff) is a delight, even for a bit of a thrashing.

Anyway, these last two seasons of finals bomb outs by the Heat go to show why the supporting acts need to remember their place... don't piss off your best player, they come in handy for these big games!
