I do have to admit, Perth Scorchers have got better as the tournament has gone on.

Beaumont cannot get firing in this tournament can she? She too is really struggling to power hit as an opener.
All 4 Vic BBL sides have been useless for a while now.Mate the Renegades deserve as much criticism and vitriol as say an underperforming AFL team right now.
The Commentators are doing a good job of trying to sell the 'Stadium Round ' concept at the MCG between the Renegades and the Stars. Saying that there was 90,000 for a game before a mens game between the two teams a few years back.....you'd be lucky to get 5,000 to watch these teams anywhere right now.

I do admit in a stadium of that capacity, its probably not a good look for the stadium, with it being at 10% capacity.Yeah, there's never been close that many in attendance
Maybe 9000 is what they meant - it's a game I would have attended and it was a case of sit where you want in the limited open seating, as they weren't opening the whole stadium at that time

The commentators will do anything to sell the WBBL 'Stadium Round concept'......but you would imagine if these two teams are on the bottom of the standings- it will be a difficult sell for the Victorian/Melbourne public.
If you were Cricket Victoria right now, you would have meeting with both teams and you would be pleading with both teams to give the public a nice good contest.Tomorrow will be telling for what could potentially happen in a fortnight - how many will turn up at Junction Oval to watch the two teams, as there's really not a lot here today
I don't mind the concept, but maybe something to consider for future seasons is to have this as a cross over with the BBL - so the last round of the WBBL before finals, and the first round of the BBL, with all matches played as double headers
Here is an Idea , Send them to Geelong? Or even better, bring back the Canberra Comets? Can the Renegades fold

Im assuming it was a WBBL game before a BBL Game on the same day.
Lets make no mistake, the mens product is what helps sell the women product, not the other way around. (And no I don't want the females to come out and attack me)

And plus with the T20 Mens world cup last year, and past Mens Renegades games, and given how good the Geelong Mens team football club go, they do alright with sports teams round there.Move them to Geelong - already got a strong following there, and crowd wise it won't necessarily be smaller than what we get at Marvel

Im all for Geelong getting a team at the expense of a 2nd Melbourne team.
Don't know Melbourne that well but I came to the Junction Oval via a Tram. Im assuming that would be the main method to get to the venue?I know it was double headers with the men's matches back when the seasons crossed over, but the few times the women played down in Geelong, we definitely had larger crowds than what's in attendance today
Junction Oval is nice, but it's not necessarily the easiest to access
Regardless of all that though, these two teams need to be operated independently of the other, and the chance to again form their own identities. I'd also go as far to suggest that since the board merge, the communication to and value for members hasn't been the same
