So you would expect the Heat to bat first on Saturday regardless of who wins the toss.
Both sides will want to bat first. Strikers love to set a target and defend it. Heat fairly similar

Strikers have been choosing to bowl first recently. Both sides will want to bat first. Strikers love to set a target and defend it. Heat fairly similar
Grace Harris has never really fired up against Adelaide. Adelaides bowling unit is a hard nut to crack. Adelaide will back themselves with whatevers on the board too....Probably the worst draw for Adelaide purely because you don’t know what Brisbane turn up. Harris (both of them) either slam 50’off not many or get a globe.

I watched alot of the Scorchers game, Id love to know her record against the better bats in the comp. Feel like economy rate , she has been going for alot more.Ainsworth bowled one poor over tonight jeez you are being too harsh on her. Average first over literally conceded 3 boundaries in the next two from outside edges.
Hancock would have been close but Sippel was probably closer

Well given how convincing Brisbane have won these two finals so far, both teams you would imagine would want to bat 1st at Adelaide on Saturday. So you would expect the Heat to bat first on Saturday regardless of who wins the toss.

Adelaide will back themselves to defend anything.
Brisbane play a bit better when they have runs in the bank. And if there is a weakness in the Adelaide lineup , its getting a couple of early wickets and getting into that middle order.

I reckon next year, once teams research on her- she might be a cause of 2nd year blues.

Her most recent innings: Grace Harris 15(10), 10(11), 23(22), 0(3), 1(3), 17(27), 7(9), 16(11) versus Adelaide Strikers.
Not sure if its asking much, but Grace Harris has to probably look to get at least 30+ runs odd in reasonable time? for them to be a chance .
This has been an embarrassing performance for the Perth Women. They clearly dont deserve to be in any Grand Final losing their last 4 games in the way they have.
And to call this team a 'Top 3' side in the competition....wow we are clutching at straws here.
Started poorly, got on a run, finished poorly. Breaking up the Devine-Mooney opening partnership was a big mistake, exposed the lack of batting depth.
Brisbane probably have a better chance of giving the Strikers a game
100% there. I dont know whos idea but ever since they broke up with that partnership pair , ironically , has been when their season turned sour.Started poorly, got on a run, finished poorly. The teams from 2nd to 4th could on their day beat each other. I think I agree with you there, the depth hasnt quite been there this year. What side bar the Strikers deserve a top 3 spot? Honestly it’s been fairly average this year

Why change a winning formula?
And in a game like this tonight, you would have that Devine being captain, and with the required run rate near 10 an over, at beginning of the chase, it would have been the right scenario for Devine to come out as opener. Dont understand the logic of having her at 5, especially in the Powerplay overs when you need to bang!
