Renegades finish with 147/5 against Sydney Thunder and the Gades will believe they have something to defend here.

Key for me will be how the Thunder the Gades spinning trio of: Matthews, Hayward and Wareham.

Make no mistake about it this wicket is totally different to the one from North Sydney Oval on Sunday.

Funny how cricket goes, thought it was a poor over just that renegades didn't punish. Much like a bowler can bowl a great over and go for plenty.

Will be interesting to see how the chase goes at 'cricket central'
Yep I dont think she bowled that well all up for sure.

Definitely an attackable bowler for me. I actually thought most of the Renegades wickets were bad wickets to give to, rather than the Sydney Thunder bowling anything great.

Thinking about those 'Marathon Dim Sims ' I had last Friday at the Junction Oval. Making me hungry.........

Had 4 Dim Sims and a Spring Roll. I think I may have gained some weight after eating that.

if you had a choice of 3 imports which combo would you take?

Athapaththu, Kapp, Knight or Matthews, Kaur or Beaumont?

Id probably side with the Thunder triplet.

Ella Hayward looks a bit like the girl that has just finished her VCE exams from outta of Year 12 with those specs.

Could make a case now that Georgia Wareham might be Melbourne Renegades' most important player.

During the last Scorchers game they were discussing King versus Wareham, the style of players they are and fighting for potentially that last spot in the Australian 11 in T20

They said King is likely the stronger bowler, but Wareham's batting and fielding is what gives her the edge in that battle

I wonder how much Wareham worked on her batting during her recovery from her last ACL injury, taking the opportunity to work on other aspects of her game

Just a few weeks ago Matthews looked likely to be the form batsmen entering the comp, but maybe her leg injury has taken away some of the momentum she was building

And looking at Athapaththu, I don't recall her doing this all too often last year when wearing red

To be fair to Athapaththu, she looks like one of these hitters that can actually play spin. (being from Sri Lanka).

She's the right player to come up against our bowling line-up

I think we were focused on the idea of Vlaeminck being our speedster/strike bowling option going into this season, but when it was known she'd be unavailable we should have looked at alternative options though which we don't seem to have done

We've been very much a spin focused attack for a few seasons now, and not sure it's really worked for us and the we should look to change that up a bit

Sydney Thunder do it easily in the end with 15 balls to spare against the Melbourne Renegades.

A nice house warming party in Sydney.

Hobart with a tough schedule having to play back-to-back in a short amount of time.

Wednesday were in Perth, Friday in Brisbane.

Adelaide should really beat them on paper and with scheduling.

I wonder if they play any AFL games at Sydney Cricket Central?
Well AFL made no contribution to the development, I doubt Cricket NSW would be happy having other sports play there.
I haven't seen much of the game, how did the new pitch hold up? It would have to be superior to Blacktown.

Kind of wicket where you needed a good look-in I reckon rather than go all out and hit from ball one.

Boundaries were quite big too.

Noticed wicket being a bit green which should assist seamers. Overcast conditions in Sydney helped the Thunder in the opening overs.

A washed out result between Adelaide and Hobart would be good for the Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat, as they would hold onto their Top 2 positions.

Also a washed out result, would send the glamour Sydney Sixers into the wooden spoon position.
