If the Perth Scorchers can chase this target in 94 balls or less, they would move ahead of the Adelaide Strikers into 2nd position in the WBBL ladder .

So huge chase coming out and with the Sophie Devine has been striking you wouldnt bet against it.

I think Perth played their cards right last game, they moved Sophie Devine up to the opening spots with the bat and it paid dividends. So for me , they have got their tactics spot on this tournament.

Don't know Melbourne that well but I came to the Junction Oval via a Tram. Im assuming that would be the main method to get to the venue?

And Junction Oval capacity doesn't look like it hold mould than 7,000.....im gathering a WBBL game has never got more than 3,000 there?
Tram or drive - depending on tram line, it's 35-> 40 mins from Melbourne CBD. So if you also have to travel to Melbourne, it can be a longish trip

And capacity seems to be between 7000 & 8000 - definitely not close to half of that today, though hopefully we get a few more tomorrow with both Melbourne teams playing. It would be interesting to see what sort of numbers they'd get if both Melbourne teams were up near the top

Junction Oval isn't 35-40 mins from CBD. It's roughly 20 minute tram ride from Flinders St. Ticket prices are cheap.

The publicity certainly could be better. How many of the general public would be aware of the Melbourne derby tomorrow. Also have a clash between Scorchers and Thunder as well. That game alone will be worth getting along to.

I only realised the derby was on tomorrow but fair to say even Kayo haven't really promoted the Derby up much.

I'm staying in the city this weekend just off Bourke St - tram travel to Junction Oval is 35 - 40 minutes depending on the tram route taken

I found the time I went to Junction Oval , it wasn't necessarily the tram ride that was long, it was actually waiting about 15 minutes for a Tram to arrive.

Im not surely if Trams are on time in Melbourne.....

so 15 minutes +20 minute ride can add up to a 35 minutes or so ........

Add in the walking at either end of the journey as trams rarely stop outside your hotel, though some do stop closer to the ground than others

And never trust them to be on time

Yep the walk from the trams to the ground for me is about 10 minutes I reckon...........

Cant remember the exact name of the Stop but from memory , it was near a Woolworths Metro

It was heading in the direction to the Marathon Dim Sim stand too!

I thought was going to go straight through the open window

Good to see we helped Devine find form the other night - she's gone crazy these last few matches

I hope the Scorchers bat first tomorrow as it could help make it a fun day

I know that stop as it's one I've used often coming this way

I reckon with most public transport it's not the time spent on the actual mode off transport, but as you said before the waiting & walking which adds to things - that's why you plan accordingly and give yourself hit extra time

No three quarter swing from Devine. She doesn't aim to clear the rope, she aims to clear the fence.

This can't be good for the psyche of the Renegade players. Innings is only seven overs old and unless a monumental collapse occurs games is over. Too often this season it's been that way for the Renegades.

Feel like Devine is in a hurry. She has aimed a couple in the direction of the Marathon Dim Sim Food Van. Maybe she is hungry too?

I wonder if the Melbourne Renegades women feel embarrassed about this performance?

My gut feeling is they don't. And they are going to keep 'promoting WBBL women cricket' and how good women sport is. They are hiding beneath their sub-par performances.

We need a clean out and overhaul in the off season - the last two years haven't worked, and this year the squad feels very same same as last year

I'd review the decisions around our internationals selections, as well as leadership consideration

I know Matthews is WIs captain, but not sure she's the right selection for this team and I haven't really been sold on her captaincy this season, and it's interesting watching it live at the ground. Her body language before getting out today wasn't great, and watching her in the field there's not a lot of communication with the bowlers during overs - when young Kennedy bowled a couple of wides in the first over, it was a Coyte who went to chat with her, while Matthews is most vocal when getting the fielders to move. Even now it's Duffin having a chat with Wareham, while Matthews plays with her hands

Often we look like 11 individuals on the field, rather than a team - there doesn't seem to be much talk and just a flat looking team

One of the things I've noticed in commentary, is the commentators don't seem to be criticising the Renegades women much about this performance. Their body language looks shot right now . You need the captain to be a leader in situations like this .

And instead she's standing around with her hands in her pockets between balls
