But 1st v 2nd tomorrow is the game Australia will be keen on tomorrow.

And we also have the battle for the spoon in the Derby with 7th and 8th.

Sixers run home: Hobart, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and the Thunder

Their last 4 games are against teams all in the Top 4. So their task looks a bit difficult.

Brisbane have a much friendlier run home: Hobart, Renegades, Stars, Sixers and Thunder.

They should really be looking at the games against Renegades and Stars as lock in wins.

With the first ball about to be bowled, the crowd doesn't look much smaller than we saw yesterday afternoon - a good sign with two interstate teams playing the early Sunday morning match

There's a bit of cloud cover around & definitely would have been more at the bat flip, but it's starting to clear and the sun is starting to peak out between the clouds - it's also got a bit of sting in it

And unlike with yesterday's match, the grass area opposite the stands actually has the umbrellas up today when they were all kept down yesterday

Watched cricket world cup last night, so just tuned in. Seemed like Perth have fought their way back into this after their 16th over with the bat?

10am AEST , 7AM AWST starts ......way too early for me.

And that was basically down to Mooney

At the end of the 13th over, Perth was 3/80 with Mooney on 51 off 37 - they added 79 runs off the last 7 overs, with Mooney scoring 50 off the 24 balls she faced

I know we've had 2 others reach double figures, but she's still the only one who's looked comfortable out there today

It really does seem like she was playing on a different pitch to everyone else

It'll be interesting to see how this first game playing out impacts selection decisions for the second game

The Scorchers are right on top and this could be a Net Run Rate builder for them. Thunder 33/5 in pursuit of 159 with the rrr approaching 11 an over.

Strange game to be resting.......especially with it being top of the table.

Agree

If you're bringing Bell in then you want her taking wickets - instead she finished 3-0-22-0... So didn't even bowl her 4 overs

Unless Knight was injured or not 100%, she should have been out there today

Devine may not have come off with the bat today but you can never count her out even with the ball.

And her captaincy - there's some players you'll shift around in the order when they aren't necessarily in form with the bat with the knowledge that their captaincy in the field is second to none, and right now Devine really seems to be on top in that department (and she's found form with the bat)

Wondering if the ball isn't coming on as nicely as it seemed to for the Scorchers yesterday - seems that the ball is often coming off the toe of the bat, and batsmen are struggling with their timing
Brad Hodge in commentary reckons its a belter of a batting wicket.

She knows the T20 game inside out, I also rate Heather Knight as a captain, and do rate Tahlia McGrath. No surprisngly the best 3 teams are the best captain teams IMO.

Perry is a decent player but not sure about her as a captain as mentioned by someone on this thread. Hayley Matthews has poor body language as a captain.
