JJ for me has underperformed and yep if Sophie Day is the leading wicket taker im WBBL 9 , she should be pushing for that Aussie team in future.

Although to play as a spinner in the Aus lineup, i think you need to be able to bat and bowl. If we are talking in terms of good batting+spin bowling combined, in no particular order: Alana King, Wareham, Ash Gardner are all good with the handle.

JJs body language has lacked poor at times in this tournament. Not sure why. Seen her drop quite a few elementary catches in the field.

Can just play the better leg spinner bat which is probably Whareham. Then play Day as the spinner she’s no bunny with the bat anyway

Might be controversial here but I reckon Tammy Beaumont is carrying a few kilos. Doesnt look fit enough to me to be a professional athlete. I mean I know there are some other big girls , eg Lizelle Lee and Jess Duffin.......its probably the one sport that allows you to be a tad overweight and get away with it.

Hobarts reward for persisting with Ismail for a 3rd straight over is a 3rd wicket inside the first 6 overs. Even if Matthews gets a ton in quick time here, its too steep a job now.

Okay Thunder tank the last game we don’t need Hobart making it

Thunder still would love that 2nd spot......

no way they will look to tank it.

Thunder also dont want to be tanking next game and banking their hopes to beat Sixers in last game. Slim chance but Thunder might have a chance of still finishing on Top spot.

Considering DeBrough had shown a little something when opening the batting, have to wonder if switching Prestwidge to the top of the order instead was worth it - especially when watching what she's done since coming in

Not suggesting it changes the result, but it does seem we keep shooting ourselves in the foot with decisions we've been making across the season

They're not skinny the same way Shane Watson wasn't skinny, and he did fine for himself - even if his frame probably contributed to his injury problems. None of them are in the Jarrod Freeman or Shane Warne league of unfitness.
A lot of them also aren't full-time professional athletes

Renegades need to move on from all 3 imports end of this season . All major fails this season.

I think it was evident pretty early on. As mentioned by cats09 you feel like Kaur and Matthews are too large in egos to be in the same team. Not saying that they hate each other . Maybe you can have 1 but not both in the same side. Personally feel if you have won 1 game from 13 (now with tonight looking a cert loss), both have to go. In any other sports code, your superstars will look to be moved on if they performed like this.

I reckon Kaur is more interested in heading back to India- body language has been pi$$ poor from her.
