Seriously, after our crapulence in recent years, I'd forgotten how big the Dons/Eagles clashes were. One of the best games at subi this year, with the comparitively low scores belying the fact that both teams played entertaining, attacking footy despite the poor condition
After we lead comfortably at half time, an excellent third quarter by you guys added some zest to the contest at Subi, and set up a tense final term. Thanks for a top game, if we don't meet in september, I can hardly wait for the next jacket-waving affair next year. 'Till then..

Yeah it was a good game but the best team on the day came out on top. Hird hasnt missed a beat but Lloyd was given a bath by McIntosh.

Good game and i hope you guys miss the finals...err...i mean make the finals

yeah i thought it was a great game, with a bit of luck we could of pinched that from you guys...interesting to see what happend if deano rioli kicked that goal at the start of the final quarter....then again, look at your second quarter...a game of missed opportunity on both sides.

I wouldn't say McIntosh gave him a bath. Lloyd beat him in three or four really tough marking contests, had 3 or 4 scoring shots in a low scoring affair..wasn't too bad. I'd hate to see what would of happend if our midfield was delivering the ball more frequently. I'd say it was more a case of your midfield beating Lloyd..

The best FF in the league kicked 1 goal all day. McIntosh soundly beat him.

McIntosh played really well, no doubt, but the Eagles best was Jakovich in my opinion. He killed us.

Where the hell was Lloyd playing in the second quarter?

The Bombers undoubtedly lost the game in the first quarter when they had the wind. They were extremely flat, first time ever they have looked slow to me, but they improved after quarter time. If the bombers had lead by 14 points at quarter time, instead of trailing by 14, we might have won the game.
