Pfft, you think the military have it bad? They've never had a home game moved forward at short notice. Eagles' players must be embarrassed listening to some of those complaints.

Except these are AFL players who signed up to play AFL. When they decided to play professional sport, spending unspecified amounts of time away from their families wasn’t part of the deal. It is in the military.

And I would bet a body part a players contract states you play where the AFL say you play.

2 games away
9 games at neutral venue

Richmond for example had
0 home
3/5 away (depending if you count GC Gabba and Lions at GC as away or neutral)
12/14 neutral

Seems a stretch to say we were the ones disadvantaged last year

So they had zero home games? Apart from the first three games at the Tigers home ground and round 5 at the MCG.

Oh to start every season off playing Carlton round 1, now THAT would nice wouldn't it?

As you've helpfully pointed out, they had 0 games with a true home ground advantage, just like how I didn't include the derby as an away game for us.

The way this has panned out has Richmond flying over to Perth two weeks in a row. Its just a shame we are so decimated by injury.
