They got rid of Carey quickly and not let it become a tumour eh Ted? Nudge, nudge.;) This is a lesson to all clubs, beware of players without good character.
It already was a tumour. Look where they are 5 years on, still haven't recovered. Cousins hasn't slept with his teammates wife either ;)

Only because he was too drunk to perform.:D Just kidding. Both players were bad influences on their respective clubs.

Just in case you think I won't support a player delisting at Hawthorn for team destroying actions, here is an example of a player cut by another team I follow.

Antonio Bryant was selected in the 2002 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys, but in 2004 he was traded to the Cleveland Browns for wide receiver Quincy Morgan. After spending two seasons with the Browns, Bryant would later sign as a free agent with the 49ers in 2006.
Following a victory over the Seattle Seahawks on November 19, 2006, Bryant was arrested after his Lamborghini was seen speeding faster than 100 mph on Highway 101. He was charged with suspicion of misdemeanor charges of reckless driving, driving under the influence, and resisting arrest. As a result, Bryant was suspended for four games by the NFL. He sat out the final two games of the 2006 season, and was scheduled to sit out the first two games of the 2007 season.
On March 1, 2007, however, Bryant was released by the 49ers. He was due to be paid $1.25 million in the 2007 season, prior to being cut.

Coach Nolan gave Antonio a final chance during the last two months to improve himself off the field. Antonio failed to make progress and Nolan had no choice but to cut him for the good of the team. I support Nolan on his decision - the team is more important than one player.
