Thought a ladder predictor would be interesting, I have us with 14 wins which would have us finishing about 5-6. Even if we drop one or two of these games with our draw I still have us finishing in the 8.

On a quick glance, you have us beating Adelaide twice, Gold Coast twice and the Brions away. You have us beating the Pies in Melbourne.

I'm not even super confident of Round 1. Regardless, I reckon that list is pretty optimistic.

Fair call on Adelaide 2 wins are optimistic I would have us with 1 win out of the 2 against them, the other games I have not pencilled in a 100% wins but these are the games we should win going off recent history and form against them, we have never lost against GC, haven't lost to the Lions for a while and I think we are better than the pies.

Besides the injuries I don't take too much out of the NAB

I set the line at 11.5 wins. We're normally an easy team to tip because we rarely lose to teams below us and rarely beat teams above us.
Yes, but the trick at this time of year is picking who those teams are.

Teams like GC, Adelaide, Collingwood & Brisbane - much like us - could finish in a range of spots

Agree with most, think the bolded ones could go either way.

If we beat all the teams who finished below us last year we get 13 wins.

That's a VERY simple way of looking at it, as that is unlikely to occur, but it does show how easy our draw it.

This was what stuck out for me as well

Id absolutely love to beat collyflog in melbs but we couldnt do it in 06 when we were top and they were the beetlebums - i like a bit of optimist but 1/4 of pendles can make that evaporate really quickly.

pies came last and we came first - and won a premiership - and they still beat us at the g
Yes, but we came close to them there last year - this year the big out for us is Emac whereas their big out is Beams. Pendelbury is still dangerous but I think it was Beams who kept them in it in the first place last year.

I think other sides might rise above us this year (GCS or Brisbane, possibly) but I reckon we'll beat Collingwood handily.

Richmond at the MCG right before the bye is probably when we'll learn whether we have any chance of (or whether there's any point in) us making the 8.

When most tipsters do well to pick 5 winners in the weekends round, we're here trying to predict round 23 results o_O

12 W 10 L and I think I am being optimistic. I have a good feeling we'll upset Geelong this year for some reason and pinch the second derby. Having said that we could easily go 10-12 or 9-13 if we drop one we should win.

I hope we do get an extra game. Increases our chances of making the 8 :thumbsu:

We'll finish between 9th and 13th IMO, our list did not change from last year dramatically enough to see us improve a whole lot from last year.

Unless it's like 2011 were we came from no where, can't see much difference to last year. We have the same middle of the road players.

Happy to be wrong though :D
