I'm betting on ongoing financial coercion like what occurs with childhood immunisation through the family tax benefit. A medicare levy surcharge or something similar.

Optimistic to think the pandemic will be over in six months though.

probably. Although I’m sure mandates will stay for some areas like the flu vaccine eg health/aged care.

of course, the Pandemic may not be over in 6 months, the next variant may be worse.

It'll technically never be over. COVID is endemic now.

But it'll be as over as possible in a few months (barring a more virulent strain emerging).

Other than WA and a few other places, restrictions are lifting and it's getting back to life as normal now.

At some point the governments won't be able to enact their emergency powers because there'll be no emergency. With 95% vaxxed and the clear reduction in disease severity it provides, whatever emergency there was is arguably gone as it is.

The news means that Darling has satisfied the league’s vaccination mandates which require players and staff to be double vaccinated to be allowed to attend the club and participate in training sessions

Darling has not been able to attend West Coast’s headquarters and has been training alone since the deadline for the first vaccination on January 21.

Mandates require your consent to take effect.
They are not lawfully applicable if you express your non consent.

It's a good example of how the legal definition of a word can differ or even be contrary to the common English defintion.

This is the Blacks Law 11th definition of Mandatory:

“Roman & Civil Law. A written command given by a principal to an agent; specif., a commission or contract by which one-person (the mandator) requests someone (the mandatary) to perform some service gratuitously, the commission becoming effective when the mandatary agrees.”

The term sovereign citizen is an oxymoron.

If you’re trying to say the public health directions, vaccination requirements etc don’t have any effect unless you agree to them, I’ve got some bad news for you.
