Wants someone else to put their life at risk for some abstract possibility that it may help them - calls the OTHER person selfish, yeah righto.
Put their life at risk? **** me sideways, you must never leave the house then, given it carries with it a far greater risk of dying than receiving a vaccination.

Vaccines are one of society's great inventions, they are legitimately life-saving, polio and smallpox effectively wiped out because of them. Yes, it is a social responsibility and one is a selfish campaigner if they let their limited intellect prevent them from doing the right thing by themselves and other people.

It's been posted dozens upon dozens of times in this and similar threads since the vaccination rollout began, and a quick trip to reputable websites, perusal of worldwide data, or a visit to your doctor would explain this.

I'm not bothering with your faux 'just asking questions' act because it's similar to trying to explain how the earth rotates and orbits the sun to someone who still believes in a flat earth - their mind is made up in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary and logic and reason is simply dismissed outright as the terms of discussion are set by them.
Weird that you can't explain how it stops spread

Jack Darling & Tim Kelly. So if one or both hold firm and don’t get vaccinated, are WCE able to fill their list spots??

I know this is really pointless, but here you go anyway:

And fyi, what Virgin Dog said in the post you quoted is EXACTLY true. That's pretty much what vaccines are designed to do.

But good luck living in denial-land.
Hahaha and there it is, the laughably baseless conversation article. You do realise that article is just a mathematical projection and based on Pfizers advertising numbers pre-delta variant, not on actual data or actual figures post delta variant.

This just shows the misinformation spread amongst the populous.

Thanks doctor, I'm sure your hours of furious googling trumps the total combined study and medical experience of scientists and doctors around the world. I do note you chose to ignore the CDC link that was also provided, though....

What about the CDC link posted by the 747?

Presumably there’s some reason why that also constitutes misinformation?

Yeah but if your vaccinated why would you care about unvaccinated people ?

Is it because drugs they now call vaccines don't work very well ?

Prior to Sept. 1, 2021, a vaccine was defined as:

“A product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease, protecting the person from that disease. Vaccines are usually administered through needle injections, but can also be administered by mouth or sprayed into the nose.”

A “vaccination” before this date was further defined as:

“The act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce immunity to a specific disease.”

After September 1, however, a vaccine became merely a “preparation that is used to stimulate the body’s immune response against diseases.”

So prior to these changes to the definition these were just drugs not vaccines like we all have received in our lifetime.

If you remove the word vaccine and replace it with drug it sounds way less appealing

How would people feel if there was this Pfizer DRUG that you have to be injected with twice to give you a limited amount of protection to covid .

You can still potentially catch covid after taking this DRUG

If you catch it you can still spread it after this DRUG

This DRUG has potential life threatening side effects in a very small %of people

For this DRUG to work you need to keep administrating it every 6 months with the same chance of side effects

This new DRUG also hasn't had any long term testing and the long term side effects of this DRUG are unknown.

Which organisation wrote these definitions?

Found it for our odd friend, the CDC updated the definitions. There is an article here about it, fair warning though reading the comments section will make you lose faith in human beings (aside from the one reasonable comment by an RN):

Because I don't live in a bubble with just myself. Like most people I have members of my family who are elderly and/or immunocompromised to some extent.
Sure and if an unvaccinated person gets covid they isolate just like everyone else .

What about the vaccinated people with the false shield of protection who don't even know they are spreading it .

Look at Israel it spreads just fine through the vaccinated community.

Most so called anti-vaxers aren't against normal vaccines just these shitty drugs impersonating as vaccines

That one is actually really difficult to quantify. Headaches, fatigue, post exercise exhaustion, muscle aches are both not particularly well tracked during regular life and also fairly common.

I am quite curious to see how the study into lung capability before and after comes back as that would impact a professional athlete.

People spending months at home are going to report significant lingering issues when getting mobile again, especially after gaining weight - which the data shows has been quite common.

a friend of mine had it early in the UK, two years on she's suffering from frequent short term memory loss. She's mid 30s with no history of this or anything like it before.

So why are the case numbers dropping in VIC and NSW?

not sure what point you're trying to make? the term drug is used in plain language medical information regularly. Take a look at this description of asprin.

Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) is a pharmaceutical drug used to reduce pain1,2 or inflammation.3 It is classified as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).

Effects of aspirin
There is no safe level of drug use. Use of any drug always carries some risk – even medications can produce unwanted side effects. It’s important to be careful when taking any type of drug.
...
Long-term effects
It’s best to discuss the side effects of long term use with a medical practitioner. However, regular use of aspirin may eventually cause:

anaemia (low red blood cell count)
easy bruising and abnormal bleeding
inflamed stomach lining, stomach bleeding and peptic ulcers
vomiting blood that may look like coffee grounds and bowel motions that look like black tar
an allergic-type reaction, wheezy breathing and a tightness in the chest in adults, hives in children, and in some rare cases swelling of the face, lips, tongue or around the eyes
reduced kidney and liver function.12
