If Mutimer can stamp himself as a genuine inside mid and string some games together I reckon he’s the best bet of the three. Hopefully we have more than these three vying for the rising star nod

In terms of the actual rising star award, Venables has the best chance by far, although in terms of our own rookie award, should be Ryan, but Venables and Rioli are a chance.

We'd have to play these kids first for them to be able to have a chance to win, and this is west coast after all.

Hell, after the wait Partington had to get a game, anyone would have thought our entire midfield was in All Australian form last season and it was that tough to break in. Simpson has a nasty habit of playing veterans that are out of form and making our kids jump through hoops to get a debut.
