For the last few years Phil was threatening to hang it up and retire to Whore Island to manage his investments, then they'd pull him back in again for one more go...



Perhaps this is a timely reminder that all too often we don't have the luxury of choosing when we go out, and that we should all take stock and enjoy life while we're still able.

In an online World full of bullsh!tters, figjammers, and contrary twats, where EVERYTHING written is to be taken with a humungous pinch of salt, Phil was a consistently informative and entertaining read.

I'll miss his contributions greatly.

Regardless of how anyone felt about Phil and his posts i would hope everyone can remain classy and respectful at this time.

He was a long time poster on this board and for that alone he deserves to be shown respect with his passing.

Sad news, don't know if his posts where 100% or not and didn't really worry me as they were informative and interesting, unlike many you read on BF.
Also happy for him to have past in a place he wanted to be and hope I'm as lucky when it's time.

I've been on here a long time and mostly lurk, but I always looked for Phil's posts around trade time to see what interesting tidbits he'd provided.
Has been a great contributor to the board in many ways, if nothing just for entertainment. Will miss him.

I use Bigfooty for entertainment. I always looked forward to reading his posts. So he made my life a tiny bit better, whether he was club connected or not, he knew football! Our forum will be poorer for him not being around to share his thoughts and knowledge. RIP Phil, you will be missed!
