**** poker

shipped KQ with about 14bb, BB wakes up with AK in the 109 and im crippled, bust a few hands later

try to bluff a station who c/calls with 7 high flush on K44xK board I miss with the A of spades and get the perfect river card to bluff but he snaps me off in the 320, then get someone limp/min raise UTG with AA, I have KQ and will only continue with the world and find two pair on the board but board runs out 5KxQ5 (he check flop, i check behind) and I hate life, tilt bust a 10bb stack a few hands later

I haven't played a single tourney in this yet despite promising to do so - railed a mate in one of them last night after I got back from a ring game and have to say some of the play could have been from a $3 rebuy. Watched some villain open 3x (600) UTG, gets 3 bet to 10 X (3K) Villain has 4k left (obviously no FE), which he open ships, the 10 X dude snaps it off. UTG raiser has Q 2 off vs KK.

I played the $109 last night also - 15 minutes in lose half my stack calling what I thought was a tilt shove with JJ<AK, 5 minutes later I 3bet AA in LP, BB shoves, UTG somehow finds a call with JJ and K's get there.

yeah the play was surprisingly terrible in both events last night, wasnt expecting it

not playing anything tonight, but have 5% of Mickey Petersen in the high roller

Had a ****ing terrible day on the tables today, wasnt going to play but decided id fire up and turned it into a pretty big session and bricked everything, dont think I saw a level past 100/200. Think I flipped 4 times where I catch and then fall to running flush n just ugly crap like that. 1 tabling now to try and get first cash for the day but no doubt will get my heart broken

bl about your session. Have to admit I was surprised also about the level of play given the buy in as it wouldn't be cheap for most people across the globe (actually I'm referring especially to players from Greece as whenever I've run into one they seem to have NFI - and they were quite numerous on the tables I've railed in recent days, and you'd think they'd be the last ones to be able to afford to play in WCOOP events).

I still haven't played a WCOOP yet - been playing multi-table low-limit FR cash (50 and 100 NL) online of late just because I think the standard is better and I'm trying to up my win rate to justify going up a few levels as well as improve my level of play (and the play, frankly, even at low limits is quite a deal better than in tournaments - you run across more decent regs and a lot less fish). I switch between tournament and cash - I'm not spewy enough to be a good tournament player (and I think that is a key ingredient to being successful at it) but when I go back to cash my HUD stats are always way too high and it usually takes me a few days to get back to normal. I'm also trying to use my HUD a lot more to spot holes in opponents play, which you can't really do in tournaments: hopefully trying to "work out" opponents thinking through the HUD; if I can then get my head around some of that I think it will make me a better player overall, tournaments, cash, online, live, whatever.

Anyway - I will probably pony up the cash for a few of these WCOOP events - can't be bothered doing the satelite thing. Have a mate who is going that route and he's really enjoying the whole thing, especially running into known professionals on his tables. Actually that's probably one big reason why some of the play is bad, because of the satelites? Apparently they run almost all the time so quite a few players get in through that route.

playing in the 215 ante up event now and i cant work it out lol

everyone is super spazzy in it, the bet sizing is all over the place, impossible to assign any type of range

on top of that nobody is able to recognize stack size and it appears we are all around a really awkward amount. Lots of over/under betting.

have 9k at 175 ante, which is half avg

its also the most tilting tournament ive ever played

10 spots before money fml

then got Q6 next hand with 3 antes, guy 5bets T3 and I hold to win 5k lol, chip and a chair but currently 3rd smallest stack 6 from money

shamefully folded to a mincash

got allin AQ<AK<AT on the bubble, had shorter stacks bust out same hand so I locked up a mincash

playing the 320 6max now

also 8/19 in a $11r satty to it with 12 seats on offer, deep for a satty though with smallest stack 16bb

bleh blown off 1500 in the 6max seeing 2 flops

on the bubble of the satty, would be gross if I bust the 6max before even winning the seat....

edit: not an issue, won the seat from $21 investment

doing well in the sattys so far small volume though, won 3 seats I think, could be 4, from under 100 investment all round

was down to 1100, then caught lighting with AT:spades::diamonds: on a board of A:diamonds:J:spades:4:diamonds:7:diamonds:

i c/shoved turn and get snapped by black AJ and catch river diamond, won some pots since then back to starting stack

had a guy been sitting out since the start, blinded down to 3k after first 100 minutes

have a good reg direct to my left, it sucks

11k at end of rego, avg is 9

winning the levelling war so far, but might have made a bad fold with KK post flop

ugh just made the worst river call against a terrible aussie

6k at 150/300

edit: shipped A3 on the btn with 15bb, SB calls A9, get some chop outs but brick game over, pretty tilted busted around the 400 mark

decided very last minute to play a $72 turbo sat to the 215 rebuy and got a seat which auto regged just now

wont rebuy, you start with 5k at 25/50 and 20m levels ive jumped in at 30/60, but if I make the addon I'll take one of those

AA<72 on QJ7 flop lol against a guy playing every hand, still alive but dumped about 4k on that hand, back to starting stack

Gave everything to the spewtard previously mentioned

Eventually shipped a 15bb stack with 88 onto his BB and he wakes up with QQ gg

Was planning on getting up for the 215 at 7am but not sure anymore, see how I feel

decided to play, have around 8k 3 hours in

having worst day in memory in other tournys though, tilted as hell

first tourny I started this morning is the last one running

bricked everything, lost all the flips and couldnt fade anything and some gross bad beats in between, shitty day

single tabling the 215 wcoop with 25bb pretty tough table but nothing extreme

busto, lost a flip KQ v 88 flopped 12 outs but bricked

0/15 today with some bigger buyins, frustrating

played the 215 1r1a and busted before addon period AA<8Tcc allin on club draw board, he insta turned it I had Ac redraw and bricked

been a frustrating week, lost lots of equity

playing the 320, doubled early with KK>AJ on J high flop, then had top 2 with AJ in 2 different hands against sets against the same guy since to be back at starting stack at 40/80

KK<AK aipf for 60bb, cant shake it atm, tilted

Winner of the main event is a $2 180 grinder with a ABI of >$3 lol he won his seat from 100 Fpp points

Had 25k games for 3k~ profit before he won the 5k seat

He chopped for 900k 6 handed but won another 100k left for the winner for a cool million in total

Developed a cult following because he couldn't speak English and made a few lol comments when dealing, plus his rags to riches story

He was obv competent and experienced in short handed play though so it's not a shock

Was just about come here and post the same thing, pretty cool story, still managed to get his million. Can't believe you can win that from just 100 FPP points, gives hope to all of us. In before because he was russian...
