Starts up tonight. Playing the $109 kickoff which is actually a good time for us at 10pm. Try a few satties for the other events too

planned on playing but enjoyed the carlton game too much last night and walked in pretty late and not in the state to put in a long session

will play a few events though when time suits

How did you go? I was occasionally checking in on the first event and saw you'd lasted at least the first few hours.

Apparently horrendous ICM spot in the first event on the final table, two big stacks clashing with one costing himself a large amount of $, mate of mine was railing and he said so.

Pretty poorly, got short stacked early on (cant remember the hand tbh) and then was finding it hard to find spots to double up, think I managed it once before with pocket jacks before eventually busting well out of the cash with 77<AQ , was into the 4th hour I think.

Will play a couple of events tonight starting with the $215 PLO knockout

If I'm still up for the $215 HU NLHE I'll play that as well

Theres a $320 Ante Only that I'll probably skip but we'll see, I generally hate the Ante only tournaments

busted the plo

couldnt ever flop anything, was just grinded down before someone played aces faceup v me i flop well enough to get it in but cant get there

single tabling the second chance, basically zero chance of playing the HU or ante only

**** these timezones

all over for tonight, way too tired to stay up for the other events

will play again tomorrow theres a 215 progressive KO and a 530NLHE

had a pull my hair out session so far

open 77 flop 785 I barrel flop and turn and have to fold river on shit runout

3/4bet kings 3 times and had ace catch everytime

had 22 v TT v QQ on a flop of 2TQ for a rare one

still grinding the wcoop and 2nd chance with startng stack

blerggg 44 v TT all in on turn board 34TA in the 215 wcoop down to 10bb

lost a lot with sets today

just won a flip tho back to 30bb

Am playing the satties to these and just cashing the tournament $, given I eat into my cash roll playing tournies. Fortunately (and I mean that given these events are either turbos or hypers and that I've stacked off with several 3 outers because of that and won crucial massive pots) I'm up about 3:1 on my ~ $200 or so entry so far. Not hugely interested in the actual tournaments but guess I will play an event or two at some stage.

Edit, 3:1 not right, have ~ 690 TD banked from ~ 200.

have 4x the starting stack in the 320 6max with Timex on my table and some crazy dude whos crushing with 150bb and making life hard

Thoughts on this ugh hand

Villian was the crazy I mentioned before

It looks like a value bet, so I guess am I strong enough to raise his value range

He def has a tonne of bluffs but also worse two pairs

What's his Cbet %? I'd be inclined to bet the flop, especially since you'll presumably bluff in that spot sometimes. I guess I tend towards playing straighforwardly raising the turn or the river as played, since most of your value will come from aces and worse two pairs. I don't think straights and sets are a large part of his range.

Not running with a HUD

Reason for check back was because I thought he's too good of a player of check call worse hands or c/raise bluff with worse. I just think he's c/folding all the time v me and my image so I check because it keeps my range wider and allows him to try and take advantage of my displayed weakness

I think he always cbets with an ace as well so I can remove the ace two pair combos from his range

I def could raise the turn

Agree with not betting flop, turn is OK - I think if you raise turn there are a lot of river cards that he can put you in a very bad spot on the river for the greater portion of your stack if he is the player you say he is.

His river re-raise calling range is pretty narrow but his 3 betting range on the river is bigger, if you remove the Ax hands from his range that would bet flop and flopped sets that would do the same (which you have blockers to anyway), and if we accept he's not bluffing river given the sizing - which potentially removes turned flsh draws. In other words the hands that you get value from outweigh the hands he's going to reraise on the river.

Having said that, not sure how many KQ combos are there given he'd likely bet the flop with a gutter? That leaves Q8, 78, 99 and 10 10 vs not many hands that you have beaten if your read is correct.

Did you note any sizing in previous hands? Had he bet bsted drws on the river and what was the sizing?

Edit: I'd just flat the river, pretty nitty, but there you go.

Just noticed a player called Yoo4 who has shipped 2 PL bracelets

Took out the 6-max (Marcel Luske came 3rd) for 52K

Then won the 320 rebuy for 100K

Sick

There's also an Aussie who has had some deep runs (including a bracelet) V-Rounders. Is he a well known?

after some research pretty sure I found him, Edison Nguyen.

Have played with him before but not often/while ago maybe

In that hand I did flat call and he had J9 so I felt pretty bumbed but I dont think hes calling a raise anyway, but raising the turn def makes me some more money

Not sure if he chk/calls my bet but probably does
