I don't think we'll have any individuals polling big numbers at the brownlow this year, we're too team orientated and we like to share the load. So Deledio and Cotchin will be doing damage one week and then get tagged, so that leaves the likes of Ellis, Martin etc. to run loose.

12 straight quarters of footy we have won….

consistency personified, playing 4 quarters at the moment.

Meh, I'm not watching that again until it is drug free. ;)

We have done what we need to but I still can't shake my old Richmond fears. Against the doggies I was saying at work 'we will probably lose this one'... flog them but still against the Saints 'this is a game I can see us losing' and we flog them too... even if we beat Norf I will go in worrying about losing to GC still.

I totally get what your saying GA. Just a bit of time and the opportunity to watch the boys create some of their own positive history and hopefully we can all start to dream of what could be for this club again.......

Talking of top 8 and finals etc.. _RT_ who took up your bet wagering your accounts on whether Tiges made finals??

Go Griff is the poor soul who is watching nervously

I'll ask the question, what would you think of the team if we beat all 5? Remember, we beat them last year, not saying it will happen but it was our pace in the wet that exposed Hawthorn. Sydney it was our spread and hardness.
I'd be bloody impressed, especially against Sydney in Sydney. Further, I'd be cautiously optimistic that our window may be beginning to open.

So far this year we've improved our consistency against the teams around and below us this year - exactly what we were crying out for at the start of the season. The flip side is that last years performances against top 4 teams were (so far) a lot more competitive. So in a sense it remains to be seen whether we are currently a mid range team that is playing well, or a team that is genuinely building to top 4 contention. Even if we lose to the Hawks and Swans I'll be relatively happy if we're competitive and in it in the last quarter.

Ive said it many times before...this team reminds me of a young Brisbane lions Team of 10 years ago..they are good now but in a year or two we will be the benchmark..alot of sucess is very near ....mark it down..

I actually see us more like The Hawks of 2007...
In 2006 they finished 11th with a 9 & 13 record but won their last 4 that year...
In 2007 they finished 5th with a 13 & 9 record - won the EF & then lost the semi...
In 2008 of course they spanked it and won the flag...

We are half way through their 2007 season - not saying we will win the comp next year but our build is actually tracing their path pretty closely... :thumbsu:

Ess might get stripped of premiership points to later...looking possible at the moment..

Better Essendon beats all these teams at this stage. Then everyone around us gets zero points for those games. :D

The common denominator is Hardwick :thumbsu:

Kangas will be tough.

Sometimes it's nice to dream though. Imagine beating kangas and suns. We'll be 11-4. Then we play Freo at the G, we lost by 1 point in Perth, imagine beating them.

And finally, going to play Sydney with a 7 game winning streak would give us confidence that we can beat them again. 13-4.

Then Hawthorn would beat us.

It won't happen, but gee it's nice to sit back and dream of a winning streak and not feel like it's a million years away from happening.

People criticise us on only beating the teams below us, HeraldSun used the word 'bully' today.

However, look how many teams are below us!!! There's bloody 12 of them.

I'm still slightly concerned that the words 'flat track' could still be placed in front of 'bullies'. The Essendon, Collingwood and Geelong games weren't that long ago. We're improving quickly...but need to take a scalp or two before the lid is off.
