That's the two things I despise more than Port and Spurs :p

lol

Well, I have family ties to Juve so I'm not jumping on that bandwagon so much, I'd support them even if they were crap. My dad would kill me if I didn't.....but as for the Red Devils, picked them up during the Cantona days, his kung fu kick won me for life.

That kick was fantastic. I still have a T-shirt with pic of Cantona at the from carrying out his kung fu kick and at the back a couple of footprints and "Cantona was here" printed above them. I had to buy that:D

Sweeeeet.

It was certainly a beautiful, memorable moment, from one of the greatest :D

He also had the best goal celebration, I'm sure you all know which one I'm talking about.....the delightful little chip over the goalkeeper into the top left corner, and right after, no histronics, just a calm look of wonder, merely admiring and marvelling at the depth of his genius. Oohh ahhh Cantona!

He certainly was a character. Was a freak as far as skills go and had a short fuse. Basically he was not taking sh|t from anyone including refs:D

At least it wasn't Inter, then I'd have to beat you up :p and that kung fu kick rocked.

So what's the verdict on Man U then nods? The Fulham loss just that usual ditch in the road that we seem to hit every year? Or a bad sign of things to come?

Saw the game live on Fox & to be honest we should have been 3 down by half time so Fulham got their just deserts.

We usually come up with one or two hiccups during the year mostly around about xmas time but in my opinion Man U list is not as strong as in previous years & if Paul Scholes & Roy Keane are not playing in the mid-field we definitely look vulnerable,

Right on the ball with your thoughts on "ooh ahh Cantona" the guy was/is a football genius & he was the reason for my change in opinion regarding the French. ;)

Got to support Man U I went to a game in 1987 when I went to England with my dad it was against Everton, I was hooked for life after that, agree Noddy we have a rough patch every year but as long as we come up trumps like we did last year and steal the Premiership from Arsenal I will be one happy man;) :D

So does anyone apart from me have the Blue strip they wear, I ordered it from the Man U shop and I havent ever seen anyone else with one, I know you cant get them in Australia, as I enquired at the Nike Store in Melbourne, alot of Red,White and the Black strips I have the black one also;) :D

Yep, unless we have our full strength team on the park, we seem to lack a little creativity and class around the midfield. We certainly have less depth (to a degree) than other years. Also, with Ole out, I think we need another striker, despite his goal on the weekend, Diegoal doesn't fill me with much confidence.

However, I'm not really that knowledgeable so I don't know....but I'm sure Fergie has a plan :o

Must you pollute this board with Bandwagoner United talk?

Well no I don't have to, but there's not much else I feel like talking about....and I'd get blasted on the soccer board for being a bandwagoner lol......anyway, you're the mod, I won't hold it against you if you delete it

And no goalsfrom50out, I don't think that'd be the plan! I just hope there's some buys pending during the transfer window.....

Hey, I was speaking with my user hat on, not my moderator hat!

I'm not going to delete anything... I was just letting off some steam. I have a passionate dislike for Manchester United.

You have too many hats on Ed..err, I mean Dave. I don't think I can post on the same board as you now ;)

And Stiffy, as for overrated? I think you have us confused with the Liverpudlians and the Arse. Though that's only if you rate them at all....

Stiffy, Man U year in year out have played in the European Champions League (which would be the pinnacle of all leagues in any competition in the world bar the World Cup) for 1 championship title in 99 (will not include the European Cup which by the way Man U has also won) as well as many quarter/semi finals appearances, can any other English premier league club make the same claim as Man U in Europe since the European Cup became the European Champions League ???

Overated in deed!!!!! ;)

I really couldn't give a rats toss bag as to what they do in Premier League. My point is that for a club that has such a high reputation they have done sweet **** all as far as Champions League goes.

I cannpt question their Premier League record but they haven't lived up to their reputation in Champions League;)

The Gooners have been in Europe for the last 8 or so seasons and have produced sweet nothing as well ... but United are going to be entering their twilight years soon, whereas the Gooners should be entering some sort of championship glory with Aliadiere, Cesc, and that Dutch guy I don't remember :p

ant you forgot the "ole" after the Arse, :D

a job half done is a job not worth doing, ;)

Ah sorry, my mistake ;)

And yes, well summed up, our performances in the Champions League are more than credible, we're consistently in the quarters/semi final stage and have won it in recent times. As Goalsfrom50out said, the Arseole is the team that has done sweet **** all in CL while the Scousers can only dream of getting a gig in a worthwhile European comp.
