We are nearing 5,000

I think it is about time rugby league posters were recognised for it on the Post count. It may be petty but I have been writing on these forums for a while yet I am still only on 27 posts. How does that work? Does anyone know who we can contact to have our post counts included?

We have nearly hit the 5,000 mark yet we are still not included. Unfair I say

the moderators do not recognise this as a "proper" forum, thus post counts are not tallied. you have to post on aussie rules boards to get a post count going

I realise that but isn't that unfair. On the www.rleague.com forums every post is included.

yeah its unfair, but i dont really care, im not in it for the post count. besides this whole bigfooty website was set up for AFL discussion. i figure they see all other boards as "junk"

mind you i dont have a clue why my post count is 400+ because i very very rarely post on the AFL boards

by the way tutaki, id be careful about posting rival url's on bigfooty. these communist mods have a reputation of being rather ruthless when it comes to savaging healthy competition (and those who post it).

You are right....as I have only really taken notice of this since you mentioned it.

I do make some posts on the afl board...so that's probably why my count is up.

I don't consider this a *junk* Board at all ......but some people (not naming names) do post junk on here.

no i know its not a junk board, but bluey has explained this to me before, he considers these general non-afl boards as junk boards

Well, the main object of BF as I understand it is to promote and encourage more discussion through the main boards. The general boards are just a diversion, for those who share some common interests.

I probably spend more time on the general boards but I don't care about the post counts. Just post away!

It's funny, I only came here cos Big Footy was mentioned a couple of times on the "Power From Port" website! And you can see from my post count that I hardly ever post on the Port board cos I usually only come to this forum.....

the swans have a major messageboard that is not on bigfooty. you should post there. infact, desredandwhite is the guy who created the website

There's not many swans fans on bigfooty, and most of us just stick to the main AFL board, or the general boards. I just keep the ocassional eye on the swans BF board to keep it clean.

I don't know either and that's why I was hoping someone was in the know. It seems that they have eased off a bit with development programs as it is a rarity lately but that's just on the Coast.

well your dream has finally been realised Tutaki (but it took the merger with the union board to do it) of reaching 5000 posts for this forum.

also a more open minded society has since seen post counts tallied on these so called lesser forums

By chance I was listening to some previews of the Lions and Collingwood game on the abc and even though the actual amount was never mentioned, Roger Merrett and other panel members mentioned that the afl has spent millions and millions of $$$$$$'s on development/media/concessions at both the Lions and Swans, are will continue to do so in the future, even if the Lions players living concessions are dropped....the lions have been assured of this by the afl....as I would imagine the Swans have been also.
