2. Yes, he could go somewhere else because, unlike Terry Wallet, he would actually be in demand
3. Why would he want to leave a team that plays Finals?
4. Yes, we can afford it. North have already announced that they will make a profit this year, unlike Richmond who have admitted they're heading for a big loss.

Actually at last report the club was looking at making $500k despite finishing stone motherless last. Now will the Roos use the CBF from the AFL to sure up Laidleys new contract or will they just sell a few shares in the club?

You guys are an impatient mob.

I remember preseason reading crap like 'I dont care how we go season we're rebuilding' etc.. But when we actually lose games you guys start whinging.

We all want the tiges to go well, the simple fact is it takes a few years for the right balance to come. Once that happens if we recruit well we can be successful for years.. its just about getting there in the first place. We're still two years away at least from that.

Sure this has been a shocking year, but we need to look at the big picture here. Our list is pretty much the same as last year.. remember, the time when most people here were confident about making finals and carrying on about having a good young list blah blah blah. Surely the players haven't lost all that skill in one year?

Remember too, we have a fair amount of classy players in the VFL and some that just haven't found their feet yet. Even if only half of those turn out - to go with the draft picks we'll pick up this year... we are in a good position and I agree 100% with Terry on this. We are going in the right direction.
