I went to watch the Magpies today to find our next superstar who could make the difference at afl level. I think the club has some great talent coming through but more than that, going back to grass roots footy made me realise how lucky we are to follow such a great club with such great history. It really is a privilege that we take for granted.

We are obviously all disappointed with this season given such a great year in 2014 which was so much fun but we have to believe in the people in charge of our club. They are great people and I'm really proud to have them represent my club. I think we have to openly back Ken and the players, they have given us some wonderful highlights and maybe its not going to happen this year but its not the end of the world. We need to be patient which is not my strong point. Chatting to Port and other supporters today was the lift I needed. I'm really proud to be a Port supporter. We are Port Adelaide.

Thanks for that post. Lifted me up no end.

If half the people here just walked into the club, had a beer and lunch, and just soaked everything in, its not hard to realise We Are Port Adelaide. :thumbsu:

An amazing club, steeped in history. Walk in the clubrooms, have a look over Alberton Oval. ******* amazing. Smells of history.

We are Port Adelaide.

The Mantra of "We will never ever ever give up" needs to be chiselled into the walls of the club.

We must re-adopt it and fully embrace it.

And this goes for players, staff, members and other supporters alike.

While its the responsibility of the players to play as a team, its the responsibility of all of us to act like a club.

great post mate..

Here is a different take on your post.. I actually support the Norwood Football Club in the SANFL and come from a very strong Norwood family of which, a number support the Power in the AFL.. is it automatically assumed that a Norwood supporter/member should support the Crows? hell no.. As a South Australian, we should all be proud of the historical side of the PAFC, it is still the most iconic sporting club in SA given its history.

Just on the Magpies, how is Harvey going? will he make it? he seems to be improving every year?

I know a few Norwood-Power supporters which is great and did surprise me at first.

Norwood-Port have always had a great rivalry but there is a lot of respect between the clubs which is fantastic.

Re Harvey - has some great attributes, strong mark, long accurate kick. Seems to be getting more of the ball lately. Still needs to improve his movement though. Another pre-season will definitely help and expect to see him get some afl games next year. Port also has some exciting young talls coming through in Frampton, Howard and Austin. Happy days ahead.

I have faith and always will however i hate how kens tune of never giving in changed ,and those words of gaining respect have gone...

Time to get back to the basics.. He and and plenty others can fall back down just as quick as we went up.
