Croad goes to Melbourne

How good would that be. If that happened I'd be gald Farmer left. Croad is younger, can play tall or back and has had no hamstring problems.

Thanks for that. I did not know that. It was worth a try.
The Eagles do have pick 6 though so perhaps they can use that.

Just heard on 3AW news IT IS A BIG CHANCE. HAwks get a top 10 pick from the Eagles they get Farmer we get Croad.

sorry dees01, but farmer is going to freo, not west coast. How ever, this is what they had on the AFL site...
A more likely scenario could be Croad going to Melbourne in exchange for a high first-round draft pick that it expects to get from Fremantle for the departing Jeff Farmer. The Dees would get a much-needed key-position player, the Dockers would get the ''Wiz'' and the Hawks could bolster their midfield with a young gun.
so pretty much, its the same agreement (which is a REALLY good one, just using freo, not west coast! hope it happeneds!

I agree dees01, Croad SHOULD in the end be a demon. Freo will pass on their 4th pick to us, and we offload that to Hawks for Croad.

yeah i heard that too, so i hope its true!!
any ways, freo and the hawks can't come to an agreement...
freo gives hawks their #1 draft pick in returne for croad and some other Mc...... guy (i can't remember his name).
hawks said no for this deal, and haven't yet come up with another one. still looking ok for us!

Well i heard on ABC news that Croad's manager denied the fact that Croad quit and that he is being offered up for trade and that the Hawks refused giving away Croad and Macfarlen (yeah i know i can't spell it) for Freo's no.1 draft pick!
Anyways im confused but we shall see what happens!

Out of interest dees01, why would WC want Farmer? We allready have 2 proven goalsneeks in Phil Matera and Mark Merenda and we have a young kid (Munro) who will be able to fill in their shoes. Its not often WC get good draft picks so when we do get them we don't trade them away. Regarding compensation picks, don't ask me how they work if my thread on the main board wasn't an indication allready!

You probably know more about it than me, but you wouldn't knock him back. He is certainly a lot better than Merenda and I'd rather have Farmer than Phil Matera.
Freo could certainly use him more but when The Wiz is on offer I would have thought 15 clubs would love to have him.
