Last year after we beat the dogs every carllton supporter was looking into the next 5 weeks. then we knocked off port by alot. people were going on about. THE BLUES R BAK. saddly we got our pants pulled down the next week by hawthorn in the biggest reality chek for a long time. that was our last win untill last sunday. dont get ahead of urselves. bur GO BLUES

It was a different team that beat PA last year and subsequently got pantsed by Hawthorn. I believe we have made important developmental steps forward - last year was just throw the dice and see what happens.

We have consistently improved over our last 10 matches under Ratts and last Sunday was no fluke. Last year we had champions on the way out, in-fighting, disillusionment - now we have a solid plan, a committed squad of truly talented players, and, after Sunday, belief that we are a strong team.

The key to the next six weeks will be maintaining this pressure constantly, which is easier said than done. Remember that we still have a very young side, so sometimes concentration will be lost - though hopefully not to the extent of last year. We may well win the next six games, or lose all of them... but I reckon we'll go 3/6. Hopefully the thrashings are over, because it looks like the team are finally enjoying their footy - and that is a great first step to recovery.

Adelaide and Brisbane the only worry ATM. Im still in there with a chance and i will continue to bring up this thread as the weeks go on.
