List Mgmt. We desperately need a lockdown player

I thought taylor hunt was doing alright as a tagger before he got injured. Just lost his way when he came back. Bit like the number 5 last night..

Reckon we should try out some of the boys and see what they can do.

Start with GHS - then Caddy - then Guthrie - then Schroder - then Bews.

Maybe none have the tank yet to go all match with a seasoned player but hey need to be given a role for may 3/4 of the game and see how they perform. We do need a lock down player and unless Thunt suddenly comes good - I think we need look elsewhere.

Maybe Thunt can play as BP - but then again he will need play tight and close and he has had issues doing that as a tagger. So not sure where he is at presently and where he fits into the team.

We need another mid to get that gets the ball - and that will help stop the opposition gun mid from hurting us more than he has to. Then add in a tagger and maybe that will solve a fair few midfield issues. Especially when Simpson and HMac are back on the park and competing with ruckmen that hurt us.

GHS is the guy for players like Mitchell, inside mids with lack of leg speed.
Taylor Hunt for the quicker outside players.
Mitchell went head to head with Stevie J and it is a toss up who had a bigger impact.
Caddy is too damaging offensively and is a "see ball get ball" player, he cannot tag any more than Ablett Jnr can.

Bartel. Has the tank and experience. Too fumbly and unaccountable in defence. Surely can't be playing there next year.

Definitely need Bartel, his lockdown job on Hayes in the 09 flag final proves he can do it.

As for ruckman, cut McIntosh and West and enter the trade period to find someone who can do better then we have.
