Thoughts on how we'll go next year? We'll go from the hunter to the hunted but the list be the same. Hopefully top 4 again
With Clarkson as a mentor you can bet your bottom dollar Dimma will be eyeing off more premiership whilst the window is open....

Well crikey. I got carried into my local on the shoulders of two of my great friends. I'll have to ask to see the security footage :)
I wasn't sure I'd ever get to see this day but here we are, my goodness.

How good Houli Titch and Graham! Nank and the most courageous of them all might just be Nick Vlaustin

Now to try and lose 5 kilos from round my waist

Grimes is the most improved player in the game. Best stopping defender there is (if you don't count Rance). He's never beaten. Opposition coaches must hate him.
Our entire defensive unit are the best. But yep Grimes is so underrated its not funny. His job on Eddie should change it.

Had a chance to reflect now. Some conclusions for what it's worth...

1. The crows arrogance was palpable throughout the week. "We came to win", game faces all week, dumb stance at the anthem (which looked incredibly awkward when the tiger boys simply turned around and ran into position). They 'knew' they were going to win, and never contemplated losing, which then made...

2. Adelaide players panic, especially when they started to lose the game. They lost their structure and started spraying each other over every small mistake. Re-watch the second quarter, you need two hands to count the amount of arguing between crows players captured by the tv cameras.

3. Lambert is highly under-rated. Great tank, trusty ball user, good in front of the sticks and positions himself really well. I had him as one of 4 players who could have realistically been awarded the norm smith (houli, rance and martin the others)

4. Corey Ellis will never get a game if we play this style, he is just too slow. We need to move him on while we may get something back (maybe a 3rd round pick)

5. If George improves his basic skills, he could be an elite small forward. Great running ability and position is often let down by dropped marks and missed targets. I don't intend this as criticism, rather excitement of his valuable he could be with an off season focused on skills development.

6. If the club doesnt turn the flag into at least 90,000 members, then they have failed. I have full confidence that they'll succeed, but 90,000 should be a minimum goal.

7. Jack Graham needs a long term
Contract, kept Sloane ineffective after quarter time and dobbed three clutch goals ...at 19. I'm very excited about this kid!

8. Cotch did countless, one-percenters that don't show up on the stat sheet (blocks space, shepherds, hurries etc...). Was marvellous!

...and lastly,

9. I'm worried Rance will retire at contracts end

Eat 'em Alive!

Forgot to mention at yesterday's Family Day at Punt Rd, Sam Lloyd was asked if he could see himself lining up for the tigers in a back to back seniors flag in 2018... He said...no...no chance of that happening

Either lacks self belief or is out the door
really? my understanding of the question put to Sam and his answer was, 'you were a sneaky chance to play this year's GF based on VFL form', which he said 'no, not really'. but maybe i miss understood.
