Wouldn't mind a few more "also rans" like him, suspect if he was wearing different colours you'd view him more favorably though.
He's certainly no A grader. That's for sure.
He's a good honest footballer right now. Someone capable of playing a blinder but not really a player you can count on in a do or die final.
If he was wearing different colours my views on his game would be no different at all. I only give genuine and honest opinions.
I don't think it's a strange thread. I think some are missing the point of it a bit.Just watched the replay and apart from one shot at goal that you'd normally expect him to nail (wasn't a gimme though) his kicking seemed fine, and as for looking for the handball at every opportunity I though he used the pill by hand whenever it was the best option.
Rather strange thread actually.

This is my take on it as wellI don't think it's a strange thread. I think some are missing the point of it a bit.
It's about if he's carrying an injury or not. I think he is just because the distance of his kicks is well down. I don't think he's playing badly though.
Is that 20 touch average based on his career prior to the Mumford hit including all his early years or is it based on the one solitary game before the Mumford hit? Either way it's a poor comparison.Technically correct.
He was averaging a fraction under 20 touches a game before getting collected in that tackle by Mumford. He's been averaging 25 possessions a game since. Also averaging more tackles this year than ever before as well. Wish every player was as down as he apparently is.
I counted 4 dropped marks (all relatively easy) til half time, then went out of my way to avoid looking at him for the rest of the game.So the coaching staff are playing a bunch of easy beats and will be playing finals, possibly even get a double chance but they are risking the health of one of their best outside runners for the sake of it?
No thanks.
Duncan is just an also-ran and nothing more. He was touted as being the next big thing at the Cattery as late as last year but we are witnessing what he truly is and unfortunately, it's the same people who look for excuses to explain his somewhat unconvincing career trajectory.
mitch brown had record high marksPartridge, stop using facts to disprove bald assertions.
I'm not sure who knocked me for suggesting Duncan was a gun kick 2 years ago. This is my take on it as well
I think he is still finding the ball, he is still hitting targets.. but IMO his kicks don't have the same penetration that we have previously seen, or he doesn't seem as damaging by foot to me anyway

as measured by stats, yet many are wanting him dropped and believe his output is downYou made the statement that Duncan wasn't the same. In reality he's been just fine with better output than ever.
It's kind of starting to irk me the perceptions that supercoach and that other friggen game are fostering amongst the footy public. Stats are the entire measure of a footballer these days. Bullshit. A player who scores 150 from dinky one-two backwards kicks and handballs is not a gun. I wouldn't mind if these stat-driven folk just kept it to convos about supercoach, but its creeping in everywhere now.
BlightysCats and other Hawks supporters don't count.11,000 likes suggests otherwise![]()
Quick let's get Mummy down to training to bring all our players 'down'.Technically correct.

Bobby, this is about the first time I've actually seen you happy here. Keep up the good work.11,000 likes suggests otherwise![]()
Definitely. The quality of discussion using stats in 2016 is better than ever. Not perfect, but certainly better. To be honest I thought it was worse a few years ago.
Based on his entire career. I don't cherry pick the figures. This year he's had the best numbers in his career so far.

Cocky should play on every time......If you don't like Duncan's kicking I'd hate to think what your thoughts are on Cockatoos disposal.
I'm down on Logical Conclusions Gained from 2015. I pulled a frontal lobe early in the season and I've been playing catchup ever since.Definitely. The quality of discussion using stats in 2016 is better than ever. Not perfect, but certainly better.
