dawes needs to play from round 1 next year , i dont care if cloke and anthony are in the 22 aswell.

N Brown the same , needs to play in the backline from round 1

Those two are the future, give them the experience

NUP ! i'm too angry to negotiate ... lets just trade the whole Fu*king team - the whole lot of them .

We'll sign up a team of angry long term supporters for next year who won't put up with being run-over, a team which will consist of late teens - late 40's and we'd still do better than today's effort.

i'll put my hand up for a half forward position

LOL sensing you'd be suspended the majority of the season!

Dawes to FF next year for sure. Anthony cant take the no. backman.

Id rather have Ben Reid at CHB than Nathan Brown.

And Cameron Wood needs to be locked up in the gym over the summer as do a few others.

We need to play our younger players in every game next year to get experience into them. Dawes in the forward line is what we need, with anthony in there as well. Unless something miraculous occurs, I don't think Cloke is the man to answer our forward problems.

Cloke is badly managed I think. Why not just plonk him in the goalsquare? Seriously he's a ****ing monster and should easily beat out most opponents for strength*

*this is assuming he learns how to kick

Best forward?

Christ he was almost our best player, which says alot.

If some of the other players decided to take their heads out of their arses and try like Leroy did, it wouldn't have been so bad.

This...presented, bullocked hit the packs whenever he could. What more could you want?

Leon, Didak, Lockyer, Cloke, O Bree, Beams, Dick????

No talk over the off season about delisting Leigh Brown, please!

Whatever his faults, and we all know he has them, just at the moment, he looks like Jonathon Brown compared to Cloke.

I think Dick chased hard and presented well all night, to be honest. Yes, I know that isn't exactly good enough but it's a hell of a lot better than the pathetic pressure efforts that Leon puts on. At least Dick gives his all is what I'm saying.

Fair enough...

Davis? Dunno what's going on there, and I thought Tarkyn has been poor the last 4-5 weeks.

Anyway, commiserations

He should beat his opponents for strength but rarely does. Gets the majority of his marks leading to the wing.

its even more appaling medders was dropped and we still had performances like this tonight from older players.

Easy to say i told you so after the match , but it was an obvious mistake to drop an experienced dangerous forward in medders and leave in nearly 6 kids with little to no experience.

A lot of talk from melbourne was that leon davis got a spot in the aa team because he was a big game player. WEll let me tell you he is a big game spud. It was a joke that he got a spot in front of Lecras and this finals series proves want sort of player he is under pressure

Really it was the midfield tonight that failed us badly, zero defensive pressure and did not run hard enough, and when they did get it they used the good old tactic of just bombing it into the 50 to a 3 on 1 instead of trying to spot up a target, giving our forwards no chance whats so ever.

Our forwards are hardly helped by our gameplan of slowly moving it up the wings allowing for the opposition to flood back and block up all our leading space, and in addition with the poor delivery into the forward line you end up with very little scoring opportunities for our forwards.

The use of the flood/zone really hurts us as well with all our forwards pushing up into the defensive half, and restricting our scoring opportunities on the rebound. We would be better benefited from isolating Anthony, and say a Dick deep in the forward 50 when using the zone so they have some space to lead to when we are on the rebound.

the problem was his form was horrid. he would have made no difference tonight whatsoever

in my opinion our side has been poorly managed over the past 2 months. we should have been selecting the side with the view to helping players peak for september. medhurst should have been dropped in round 17-18 and given a chance to play himself back into form in september.

presti should have been rested a couple of times this year so he can be fresher at the end of the year. we played the bulldogs twice and he's virtually had no match up.

davis has been poor for a good 2 months bar one or 2 games. some say he's been playing injured, well this should have been managed better..

either way, we aren't in the top 2 sides in the competition, but it doesn't help when your guns aren't firing.

This was key tonight, and it's one of the many things Pendles is prepared to do that most of our other mids aren't.

I counted at least a dozen times where Ablett and/or Chapman didn't even have an opponent at a stoppage. That's inexcusable.

for us to have any chance of beating geelong we have to be at our A game defensively. tackling needs to be fierce. it wasnt.
