If NMFC trades/recruits any midfield types who lack serious pace, then the club can get stuffed. 20 years of mid-sized, mid-paced, mid-skilled midfielders and look where it's got us. I've had it.

The best comment is that you don't need to be fast because you can play fast with ball in hand. It was a prevelant view that has proven to be wrong. You need speed to open and close space and it crazy how this club and its supporters never understood that.

My Two Cents. Its not just pace. You can be quick however, if you cant use the footy then you are rendered useless.

The way the modern day game is designed has closed/narrowed the talent pool. If the game was slowed down a little the talent pool would widen.

Very hard to find quick, tough and silky skilled in the country year on year.

Wouldn’t get a kick in the AFL. A team of Luke McDonald, Jy Simpkin and Jack Darling would beat a full squad 18 premiership AFLW players by 150 points with ten minute quarters.

Well yeah, but the finding of an afl bloke with the qualities of Erika O'Shea I think is the template. Happy Meal and The Fat Vegan'd struggle to get a gig elsewhere, the girl O'shea'd have suitors across the board. Imo.

That's definitely the attributes we need who can defend first and then take off at speed.

Its not that deep buds. Deep thinking would suggest AFLW players could compete in the AFL

Billy Hartung was quick. So was Josh Williams.

Flash Narrier, Spicey P, Markov, Napalm and a bunch of others are all quick but weren't that good at footy.
