True, and if we can roll the Tigers today then we are almost certain of winning our last 2 (GC at home then Port), although we haven't looked like winning in Adelaide since 1813 so we are no certs there. If we were to win 2 of our last 3 then we improve upon last year which is amazing considering some of the form we have been in this year.

I wouldn't call it an improvement when you factor in that we play the new franchise team twice, had a fairly easy draw (though not as easy as first thought with WC twice), and the manner in which we have lost.

At our best, we have gone forward this year. At our worst, we have gone backwards.

thats what happens when your squad is the 2nd youngest in the AFL...its a fact that cant be escaped.

It will all depend on what type of coach you get in 2012....in the meantime make the most of what you have

Very true, the board looks as dead as Julius Caesar right now - not often that the game day thread stays as dormant as this in the time before kickoff...

Good point there Tas - although the odds are well against the Kangas as far as that St Kilda matchup goes, I'd reckon.

Possibly, we only lost to them by 9 points about a month ago.

Looks like the Saints are getting done by the Swans. You only hope is now that we actually beat the Saints and they lose to Carlton in the last round as well. Or that Essendon by some act of god lose to Port in Melbourne next week.

Yeah, Sydney 2 goals up with only 2 mins left! That's a surprise... I figured the Saints were in substantially better form than they were a month ago.

That finishes our chances, not mathematically of course, but realistically, it's impossible now. Gives me more reason to think you can beat the Saints next week though mate...

I give us a chance. However, if the round 24 game for Carlton is a dead rubber I wouldn't be holding my breath on them going in hard to win the last game.

...well ther you go...we couldn't beat the Tigers .....so all teh talk of finals was a complete waste.
