You could throw Joey Anderson into that mix as well Kooley. Not sure Browne is ready for a senior call up just yet. Armfield gives you his all every week, yet I think a step up from WAFL to AFL in such a short space of time might be asking a bit too much of him.

He certainly has the body to play AFL, however, i'm just not sure he's up to it at the moment. What's the harm in letting him play a few games with the Bullants?

Houlihan is not nimble enough and doesn't provide any run whatsoever. The amount of times we held up play between BP and HBF tonight was ridiculous. We miss Walker terribly. Houlihan has to go forward as an opportunist, or get the arse.

I wouldn't suggest that VFL level footy is a whole lot better than WAFL if at all... give him a crack I reckon.

This also stems from the problem that we didn't have a target accross HF tonight.

He gets enough time to use the ball well enough from the back pocket, the only problem is is that it's not damaging. He could touch the ball the same amount of times as a half forward and do ten-fold the damage as what he does down back.

When he gets the ball he is often on the last line of defense and under pressure to target a Carlton player up the ground, often with forwards bearing down on him. He isn't suited to that role and often panics and turns it over.

Up forward he could use his creativity to put pressure where we need it most - on the scoreboard. If we played him up forward I have no doubt he could chip in for a few goals per match.

Agree. I think we will need his pace and tackling ability, particularly since essendon seem to have so much pace.

Joey Anderson when fit, Dennis Armfield very soon, big chance for next week IMO. Steven Browne mid season or so will get his chance. Hopefully one out of the three will give us what we need!

Houlihan needs to go forward - we need to get these kids in.....we let the kids learn the game in the reserves, then in the defense, then eventually ....well actually gibbs is STILL there.

We neeeeed to do something. If ratten has decided to throw this season away - then lets at least do it on bringing the kids online...please.
