no game plan, no desire, well done bowden i will give credit where it is due

but my messages contine-
kellaway and fiora not up to it-and they play in the backline!

danny came to the club saying that he wanted to build a rebounding and strong bakline-ha! waht a joke our line is! Once it gets down there it is a turnover or a goal. He puts midfielders on the bench. He plays blokes out of position. He does not know the caper

our midfield hold possession but do not dispose correctly and hold it too long! an alarming stat was that we have more marks and did not make our chances

my summation is based on aw call and wallsy, rexie, shaw were fuming at our lack of game plan and poor coaching

well according to wallys he turned the ball over 3 times and got run down, he turned inside out, skill level not up to it.and held up play and therefore put all the forwards out of position.

this is a richmond disease it is called playing mediocre players

When the ball was coming into the Saints forward line on so many occasions and with great ease, i don't think the backline is the problem.

Kellaway was dropped right in it on at least 2 occasions. Someone got a mark in the backline and then flipped a handball to him (I think it was Campbell on one occasion) While he was standing flat footed, not expecting it.

Suddenly, he is under pressure searching for a (non-existent) target to kick to. Not entirely his fault he turned it over.

(That said, he should have been running off his opponent creating an option upfield)

The players should be smart enough not to give out dumb handballs in the first place, especially to someone in a worse position to them.

I agree with Cairo, AK isnt up to it and it staggers me that someone with such poor decision making and lack of run, made All Australian.
All he is good for is the Irish football in October.

Well lets just say.........if you like the idea of holidaying in a small community of feral greenies, with rage and a cause, you'll luv it, otherwise head to Byron Bay or the gold coast.

Sounds like Ballina, on the "mighty tigers" River.

we had far worse players than Fiora and Kellaway today, and I can name at least 6 from the top of my head

try:

campbell....so many turn overs and disposals that put team mates under pressure, his indecision during the entire match was shocking.

coughlan.... he is a kid but would have to be his worst game since first playing, he wil learn from this though

Gaspar .. already had a crack at him b4, he is playing shocking and for a backman not close enough to his man

Newman... was very quiet and i was disappointed

Rodan.. was again unseen, looks like he thinks he has done enough after his round 1 performance..start playing football!!!

Fleming...the is a dud, as i have said before if we insist on playing crap onballers then give fletcher a go, he is better than flemming.

TIGER FANS DONT FEEL BAD> beaten by a top 4 side. You have improved. We beat you by 80 then 60 and now 45pts.

You should be happy! You played with the big boys today and it was a good chance for LEARNING!

Frawley and his players wouldve got a lot out of today and they can take that and use it. you should also thank stkilda for it teaching efforts.

Dont get too arrogant yet stkida fans. One pre-season cup does not make you world-beating champions. You aint the brisbane lions. Take away the wiz-fiz wok and your success rate is atrocious ( one cup won 38 years ago is pathetic). At least we have won the flag on more than one occasion. The only thing Stkilda could teach richmond about is wooden spoons, you certainly couldnt teach us about success

Mate, weve won 2 night AFL cups and figured in one AFL grand final.
Richmond havent figured in any grand finals and havent won any cups at all.
And in three or four years saints would have put a premiership or two on that list what would you have done???????
Please just let us teach you? for your sake.

Fiora was far from our worst. He at least tried to give us a bit of drive.

IMO Kellaways biggest fault is that he is too slow to move the ball on. Good defensively, but needs to run off more, as CJH has noted here and on another thread.

The reason we had more marks was because of short chip kicks to each other.

Just remember. Be humble in victory as you should be in defeat. It could come back and bite you. If you really want to do us a favour take back one of your favourite sons and make him coach. He learnt his trade at your rabble club.

One word for the Saints. Jarman.

Doesnt matter how far they go in the H&A, there will always be someone like Darren Jarman to make them look like fools.
