Jokes should be funny.... ;)
If it was a Carlton supporter they'd be deadly serious. Not only is Gibbs near the equal of Sloane whilst being their 3rd best mid, Lever also wouldn't get a go in their backline and Jack Watts not good enough for a spot up forward. There's a special level of delusion regarding the quality of their players amongst that crew.

Speaking to a current players girlfriend today, she still believes he has not made his mind up.

However, Charlie is gone. Misses his family in Queensland.

Would our first and second rounder without Watts get the deal done? If the deal is our first and second round pick and Watts I think we'd be expecting something back in return. Maybe Gallucci, if you're offering..
You’d consider last years 1st rounder a throw in?

Your 1st and 2nd not enough

He cost about your 1st to start with, which would put the premium value for his development and proven quality at just a 2nd round pick.

That’s miles off

1st 2nd + Watts = maybe

And you consider that a gross exaggeration ?

Plenty of non-Melbourne supporters recognise the talent emerging on the Dees list. I hardly think I'm breaking new ground with the suggestion.
I doubt that’s true.

Not many people recall or think about Melbourne at all, and certainly not in terms of instant recall of talented lists

Don't wanna get into the trade side of this discussion because it's clear Adelaide will want as much as possible and we will want to give as little as possible.

Just a genuine question about lever regardless of if he stays or goes. Do people think he has capabilities of developing into a FB?
Like it seems that because he has excelled so much at being the 3rd man in at such a young age people are quick to point out he can get beaten one on one. But how many 21 year old key defenders are playing at a high level in the AFL? Our own Oscar McDonald still gets rag dolled weekly.

Also how does his kicking and decision making with the ball stand up under pressure?

P.S having lost Danger Davis Tippett Gunston Bock as well as potentially Cameron and Lever of late I'd love to see you guys win the flag. It's a ripping site to see your ball movement in full flow and you guys deserve a flag.
He’s going for money. Just cash

If we believed he would developed into a highly skilled KPD we’d have offered the money

Worked out fine save the Vegas bit
Stood out of football for the entirety of 2016 after GWS refused to do the deal to get him home in 2015 as he was contracted through to the end of 2017, worked out fine wouldn't quite be my description.

But apparently they had a better year, even though their results were worse than the previous year. ;)

Keep hearing about all their rising star nominees, but how many were in the AFL's best 22 & under.

Carlton are still miles off making the finals.
