Woah, who is this hooded man, whom emerges from the darkness with a distinct lack of dots...

I can't believe it either. We are talking a 3rd year, third tall, whom will be paid money beyond that of brownlow medalists. Crazy.
You saying i'm lacking dots ? .......it appears what i was criticised for has suddenly become the norm ;)

60-70% of drafted players from Vic so the risk will always be there until when and if other states catch up on providing talent to the pool

Even riskier to just draft home state kids if the talent pool is poor

The crows ( and Port ) need the SA talent pathway through the SANFL to lift its game and do its job

At least next year is promising
This is something that definitely needs attention. The SANFL is failing to produce draft worthy young talent. I don't know much about how the TAC comp works, but I wouldn't mind betting the AFL pours a heap More money into it that it does SANFL junior development. Should we be separating our junior development from the SANFL? Should we ask to enter a team in the TAC?

I can guarantee you that he is not logging on to his twitter account. Can you imagine the barrage on there ???
I'd like to send him a box full of Krispy Kreme donuts so when he eats them all he can find at the bottom of the box various A4 glossy photos of the donuts hanging off my cock

IMO what fooled us was the prediction of Lever as a future AFC captain ......the assumption that goes with Leadership is loyalty & a sense of team first ......we've been fooled
he'll be a captain somewhere at somestage of his career, i thought he'd stay with us for another 2-3 yrs then piss off to victoria.
never once thought he would be a crows captain, like danger but unlike sloane, he luvs himself way too much to put the team ahead of himself.

At times I wish we would, but it does leave you vulnerable depth wise.
It does do that.
Also they have the location on their side in Vic as well.
Easier to lure home with money, than to lure away from home with money.

They have multi pronged positives to move back to Vic.
It's annoying but we are so up against it all in so many ******* ways.

we need to do the same then.
The problem with that is we have too many mid range players getting mid range salaries. Which in one respect is good because it means your list is very balanced and probably contending. You can't have your cake and eat it too. If you have a whole bunch of players on big dollar contracts, there is serious defficiencies in your list.

Wish the crows would orchestrate something with Brisbane behind the scenes to get them to take lever in the draft. Maybe Cameron for an early 3rd rounder and in return you have to take lever with your first pick. ******* do it.
Beware North Melbourne ......cashed up big-time, have failed to land a big fish ......and have pick 4 ?

Will at least keep Melbourne honest at the trade table

Before his injury Lever was touted as a top 3 pick however teams baulked because of his knee reconstruction. Melbourne selected Petracca and Brayshaw instead at 2 and 3. Now they're also getting Lever whose proved his knee will stand up to the rigours of AFL and the benefit of 3 years experience for pick 10 and change. We should play hard ball.
I sincerely hope someone in the AFC is drafting a submission to the AFL to suggest making it harder for a first time contracted player to nominate the team of his choice when leaving.
The balance is wrong and a scheme needs to be devised which better compensates or strengthens the negotiation position of the original club.
If the AFL are serious about keeping the competition even and clubs competitive something needs to be devised.
As it stands now an out of contract 21 year old has almost the same rights as a restricted free agent and the club he chooses becomes the real beneficiary. The originating club that put in the development and hard work and gets very little in return as they are negotiating from a position of weakness.

Problem is this strategy works if you get elite talent to take lesser $$ like Geelong and hawks did. We’ve got average talent taking lesser $$

So why do you think with those traits, he'll be an AFL Capt ?
