Its only 5 minutes into the second quarter, but i am disgusted with the weak as piss performance the tigers are displaying. Would not win an under 12's game.

I haven't seen a richmond side with such bad skill ever even in the frawley days.

What did you 2 expect, we're not sitting 1.5 games clear on the bottom for nothing.

Even in 2003 we had better side than this,I've got the feeling were going be around the bottom of the ladder a lot longer than ppl think.

Roughly 20 points down at half time vs eagles in Perth.....Not THAT bad surely? Just have to get on Le Cras, i was at the game in Rd 22 last year, he seems to feast on Tiger for some reason. Bear in mind Foley hasn't had much of it yet, and poor Pattison is having a huge task in the ruck against Cox, Seaby and Staker.

Its not as bad as it was, we are still struggling, but when i posted this we couldnt get a possession.

what a bunch of exagerrating pessimistic threads - plenty of positives to take from tonight - like the endeavour, heart, the improvement as the game went on - the toughness and ability to work for each other.

the skills were poor at times - but the were also extremely good at times also.

tough crowd - when you have the bottom side playing last years premiers - its a little ridiculous to expect miracles

difference is we had a bunch of mid 20's duds back then compared to a bunch of young promising players who will only get better.

I think i have came off wrong. What i am talking about is not expecting we were going to beat west coast, but i was hoping for a good and tightly skilled contest.

If we played anywhere near as good as what we played last week, we would have won tonight. west coasts skill level was almost as dismal as ours.

Simple errors are what frustrates me, and something i dont expect to see as much of at the most highly skilled level.

I enjoyed our heart, i liked the fact they kept in there, cause i was sure we were gunna be blown away 10 minutes into the 10th minute. i enjoyed it. I also enjoyed Jackson getting roughed up, then getting straight to his feet and giving it back. I enjoyed the body work from the kids, they took their physical presence levels to the next notch. I enjoyed the running tiger i seen so much of tonight, I absolutely adore to see the tigers running hard and bouncing.

I just hate the basic skill errors

good post:thumbsu:

Beaver,I agree. It looks like the boys are gelling together more and more. This year is just an education for them. I'm just happy to see Deledio look like and he must feel like he belongs out there. He is just going from strength to strength. Tambling, I believe will have a break out year next year, just like Deledio. Remember, he's 12 months behind Brett.

I saw more positives than negatives in the grand scheme of things.

Pretty spot on with that post Jisha. But the highlighted bit is what I want to comment on. I love seeing Jacko, Connors and McGuane in there standing up to blokes twice their size and taking no shit. King is another, though I'm still a little undecided overall on him even though I love how he goes about it. Blokes like that standing up to opponents is the best thing I have taken from the last few games. Something we haven't had too much of for a long time. Thursfield is pretty gutsy too, but more int he Kellaway mould of putting his body on the line. Little Edwards isn't the greatest kick but he is pretty gutsy when it comes to putting his body ont he line too.

Then maybe you should shut your mouth until the game is finished. Supporters like you are a blight on all of us.

wheres tugga, we missed Gus tonight, our clearances over the last fortnight with AG in the side were first rate...tonight we were smashed absolutley monstored, and thats without Judd , Cuz and embley:eek:
We were certainly smashed in the ruck, which gave Kerr an armchair ride. Patto is just too short and too light at the moment to mix it with the likes of Cox, especally when he has to play most of the game there.

I agree. Im astounded to read such negativity. I was proud of the boys tonight, aside from pettifer, brown and richo missing easy goals. I thought the effort was good and skills were ok too.. The umpiring was a disgrace.

I think so too. We need a big strong defender and another ruckman.

Hopefully Polak with another preseason can get super fit and be that defender. He was starting from a long way behind last summer, he should be very good in 08. We definetly need another ruckmen though.

as they said when we first got him, he was way under done so last preseason was weights and fitness mainly this preseason line him up on richo every training session teach him to be accountable

spot on, we could have fallen away when they just about blew us away early in the second quarter, but we kept at them and the crowd felt it too.

No. What does it matter when i reported this? they played like idiots the first 10 minutes of the second quarter... why does it matter if i post that then or at the end of the game?
