How we will win the game against Port:
If we win it will be hardness and numbers in the middle, combined with the run and inside 50's and goals of Tarrant. I don't think Paxman will have it quite so easy against Taz this time around. Josh will need to break even against Brogan.

How we will lose the game:
As much as people build up Tredrea as the big danger, I think it will be our small defenders who will have their work cut out for them. Lokan, Shaw, Cole and Lonie will have to play very well to ensure the Burgoynes, Pickett etc dont go ballistic.

We could also lose the game on footskills. Licuria, Tarrant, O'Bree, Johnson, Tarrant etc must hit targets. we can't afford wastage.

Strengths

Lightning transfer of play by foot and hand through the middle after rebounding from half back. Johnno is the master of this...handball receive...run 20m, kick 50m to our forwards. Shawry is also quite good, Coley is improving, Clemo usually the one setting it up with his immaculate disposal. Sir Scott Burns and Licca usually station themselves in the guts to gather the spoils/kick and then dish off to one of the speedsters. Bucks generally leads out to the wing providing an option and taking a few opposition players with him.
We can open them right up in this area particularly as they have a few unaccountable types in the middle. Our work at stoppages is first class, prrobably best in the league, despite not getting many hitouts.

Weaknesses

Where we fall down is our disposal into the F50 (unless it is Bucks, Woey or Lonie kicking it in) and our lack of crumbers if we do not hit a target. Our other weakness can be our shooting for goal accuracy, especially Tazza.

Its not our only weakness. We have a forward line that doesnt always click, and a backline that sometimes struggles to counter smaller mobile forwards.

We are good enough to win the flag, however, no question.

I agree that we also have many other weaknesses, especially the finishing (we kicked so many behinds against Brisbane!)

I find it funny when stupid posters like this moron atempt to post on our board with such filth. We write enough filth, without his imput. I hate Port and stupid people like this nuff are the reason i strongly dislike their supporters. (not to mention their weak efforts in going to watcgh their weak side, arrogance, total one eyed and no point slasgging og other clubs and of course their spitting and ****ing on other clubs)

No one has a forward line that always clicks. Ours would nearly always click if we had a class tap ruckman setting up quick clearance. When our midfield gets quick clearance our forward line always clicks. The biggest problem out backline has is the same. the pacey forward lines can truoble us though.

Seriously though, Josh has improved out of sight but he is an ordinary ruckman. He will be a good ruckman but he isn't one now. He is a good follower now and he will be a sensational one before very long. A follower and a ruckman are two different things. A player that is very good in both departments is pure gold and these guys win premierships for their club. Josh can compete in the ruck right now but he can't consistantly win decisive taps and he doesn't have a plan to get the ball to his midfield in space. That is what class ruckmen do for a living. Watch some tapes of Len Thompson. Even watch some tapes of the best years of Justin Madden.
