Wearing a footy guernsey in public, yes or no?

I wear one to the game occasionally, would never wear it without a T shirt underneath though, at 66 years of age I don't want to be exposing too much of my body out in public... or wear it at all out in my everyday non footy life.

Footy guernseys in public are fine.

All you need to pull it off is some boobs. And not even particularly big ones...

But seriously, I think it's different for men and women.

For guys over the age of about 16, it basically says "I'm a big manchild".

For women, it either says "I'm a bogan chick" or "I'm probably after your sister's phone number" 😂

Sometimes it's just nice seeing some footy gear from any club when you live in footy barren land.

I guess it probably doesn't mean much for those living in footy heartland but honestly, any footy support seen out this way brings a smile.
Totally agree.

In Western Sydney, if you wear an AFL guernsey in public, the reason some people look at you funny isn't that you're wearing a sporting team's kit in public.

The issue is that it's not soccer or league merch.

Why do people care so much about what other people think. Where whatever you want to wear.
