Thought I'd post a thread where you can talk about the weather where you live.

For the last 25 minutes we just had really loud thunder and lightning. That and really heavy rain. Got drenched walking home from school. Besides that, it was perfect spring weather today. Perfect blue skys and probably around 20 degrees. As I type the sun has decided to come out. That's Melbourne for ya I guess.

26 degs right now. Summer's coming to an end, it was 30+ every day. Too bad a sunny day comes once every blue moon and they don't do summer well

It seems every forum has a weather thread, except bigfooty! Last summer there was a thread about the heatwave, but not like this. Maybe footy followers don't give a shit about the weather?

God the wind was bad yesterday.

Was running the High Jump at the District Athlecics Carnival yesterday. The wind blew the side mats away and onto the track. Then it lifted the main mat off the ground and sent it flying over the track and up against the fence surrounding the facility!

Last Night we recorded 30(c) which is the warmest spring night on record for Melbourne since history began recording temperatures.

By the way, I am not one of those people that says "It is too hot " in summer and "It is too cold" in winter-that is jumping on the problem bandwagon-. For me I chose "It too hot" and I am sticking with it.

I'd like and want the temperatures to be way bellow average all the time with way above average rainfall. Our state desperatley needs it. They are predicting above average temps, with bellow average rainfall, a tinder dry state- a perfect combination for the bushfire that we have been experiencing in recent summers-. Great seaside conditions to go swimming but you have to feel for the people that live in the bush at those times.

Currently 20C at 8.20am. Today's high will be a beautiful 27C with mostly sunny skies. If only our summer would have been this nice...

In SW WA, you are praying for rain by the time April comes around, but by mid-September, you just wish it would go away.

Haha yeah i know, i just think it's funny that one side of the country is early and one is late.

that's not a good thing.

the weather in adelaide is generally too hot.

Adelaide has 2 seasons: summer and winter but winter is only a bit cool and summer is too hot.

I'm not a fan of extreme heat either. In summer, I like my temperatures in the mid to high 20's, and low 30's at a stretch. But yes, WA is slower than the eastern states to warm up. May get one or two hot days in Oct and Nov, but it really isn't summer over here until Christmas Day. On the other hand, our Summer often lasts until mid-April, thus the reason why Football teams don't like playing during the day early in the season.

At least we don't have the humidity over here, a hot Brisbane day(where I used to live) isn't very comfortable at all.

Another wet, windy and cold day. It is making up for that terrible two month drought we had from mid-March to late May I suppose. We got zero rain during that time.

It's been p*ssing down rain here for the last hour or so, although the rain has died off slightly during the last few minutes.
