wait a minute, so he'll be ready for the split round you say? that gets up my goat a bit, why the F*&% wouldn't we do it with hase then?

Look I understand Australia is a bit behind the boat when it comes to these kinda things but FFS they have been doing them in Europe for almost 2 years and have had REMARKABLE results. Now I don't know why we didn't get hase to do it. man this club pisses me off sometimes with it's dartboard choices

thought the same thing after hearing about malceski's surgery and even started a thread on it before some of our more enlightened freo posters gave me the link to this article:

Cheers for the info, but in reality they have beenbanned since 1997 a good 11 years ago. Now the sheer advence in anti-rejection medication and the oerthopedic screws that they use would stave off any problems of the past. If their biggest gripe os over the synthetic ligament not being strong enough to hold up to the rigours of AFL, well then there's only one way to solve that. Bring out the extra heavy duty "AFL' brand cruciate ligaments line, pernonally approved by Andrew Demetriou. It could open up a whole new world of possibilities for the AFL, Super strength shoulder joiunts, super hardened hip joints.

Webster hasn't blown his chances, just coz he's blown his knee.

The synthetic op will have him back challenging for a spot before long. Played a couple of really good games in the WAFL of late.

See you back on the park real soon champ!

terrible news :thumbsd:

i've been a big webster fan over the years and i always thought that somewhere down the line he would find a spot in our 22

hase's injury was much worse than the average acl

apparantly he tore 3 different ligaments plus cartilage

plus Hase isn't playing for his career, so having a slow rehabilitation is probably the best option for him. Websters looked like a straight tear due to a weak knee, Hases was a clear impact injury as well.

Terrible news for Fremantle and football in general. Loved the way he went about it.

Can only hope that some modern miracle can be performed and he plays football again.

I hope it's true. Would be awesome to see bell hase, pav and hopefully even macca play in one final game together, heck throw in both carrs wghile your at it:thumbsu:

That's a good point about Macca. I don't see him being anywhere near the best 22 at the moment (aside from the 22 we had on Saturday I would think Ibbotson, Foster, McPharlin, Tarrant and Solomon would be ahead of him) but we must get a Macca testimonial game! It was wonderful last year for Webster to kick the winning point in Macca's 200th, but we will need to know in advance that it is Macca's last game. I would say the old warhorse will be able to put in one last vintage performance.

He needs to get a better send off than Shane Parker got - that one was terrible.
