We got married in April this year... we were in engaged in July last year... we didnt want to be engaged for 2 years or whatever so a Saturday wedding was off the agenda for us (as most places are booked on a Saturday).

We did a Sunday wedding at 5pm... kind of the best of both worlds.. we were able to get the ideal venue for us... and everyone was home by 10.30 so it wasn't that late a night...

I agree that I am not a fan of Friday weddings.... funnily enough I can't remember the last Saturday wedding I have been to... most have been Fridays/sundays

Not a bad idea - in a way it means people go if they really want to. On weekends, people who are not close to the couple are more likely to go.

And it leaves the rest of the weekend too - Saturday to recover and you still have Sunday.
