Jolls just looked like he was favouring the leg/groin right as he walked off. Going on the way he trained though, he will definitely play.

Extras were J Mac, Keefe, Rounds, Sinclair, Buckley as far as I can recall.

Reid and Jolly need to spend the next 3 days in the hyperbaric just to be sure.

Definately, with groin issues quite often its bearable at the time (if nothing too serious) but the next day that paints the picture. There's no way they would of trained today and risked pulling up sore for next few days, wrap em up and they'll be good to go :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Exactly my thoughts, Jolls was hobbling slightly but he will play.

Yeah I think so scams, during the match practice he had to cover Woody at full tilt a couple of times and stretched right out. It looked to me like Woody was trying to test him a bit and Jolls stuck to him like glue. We know he can play with pain as well. Going on what I saw today, he'll play and play well.

GOod to hear the boys trained well, poor beamsy, feel for the kid. Thought he might be ok considering his form has been great leading up and he is a prooven player in GF's

Do you guys think Goldy will be the sub with did's to play full game?

If Jolls or Reid don't play..great to see the club playing games and sending them out there in this unusual open training session.

I think with a lot of these injuries, the media blow them up without even knowing the full extent...All we know about Jolly is he limped off then Doc Larkins gets involved and says "it looks like.....blah blah blah"...then his prognosis is a 3 to 4 week injury...he could have a bad cork for all we know and the media report it's an old injury...the club plays it's cards close to the chest as they should. They may have very well said to him there is no way you can play so get out there today with no strapping and we will withdraw you at the last minute Saturday...or he could be just fine managing the same injury he has managed all year...we don't know...lol

THE FACTS I KNOW...I cannot believe the media aren't all over the Stevie Johnson saga...we saw what happened...it required a stretcher...I cannot see him playing and that must be a MASSIVE out for them...IF he does play, his record of playing injured is not good and you wouldnt want to play with a knee injury with give in the ground.

Its the Buddy Franklin mentality..because Buddy got up from his broken leg/ACL now everyone can.

Menzel out - Johnson out! ummm don't tell me the Cats forward line hasn't taken a hit.

Go Pies

Given what has been said about Beamsy, I'd be shocked if he was omitted. He's been great in the last couple of months and also has a good record against Geelong. I know stats aren't everything but he's had 20+ disposals, averaging 4 tackles a game and has kicked 12 goals since returning from injury.

Obviously his lack of performance in finals may count against him.

Feeling a lot more confident after going to the training! Jolly and Reid both looked so much better than I had anticipated! Now just have to wait out the rest of the week.. Slowest. Week. Ever..

Dont think we will be dropped, all we know is Mick said something to him and his head dropped. It could have been Mick telling that him that he would be the sub - we wont know until Friday

I think the key statement here is your last sentence. Beams' failure to deliver in a final. This may count against him as the risk of a GF non-performance is obviously something we can't carry.

I'd rather Johnson plays to be honest.

Harry usually towels him when he's fit, what's he going to do when he's not?

Johnson game involves lots of speed and lots of direction change and lateral movement. Even more so against Harry. So again, I hope he plays. Will be advantageous to us if he does.

Harry needs to work him over hard.

Very pumped about this training session. From my perspective if there were serious doubts about these guys coming up you would wrap them in cotton wool until the last minute, not bring them out and test them on the Wednesday so I reckon they're both good things to play unless they pull up sore tomorrow.

I don't really care one way or another about Stevie J. I don't think he often does much against us.

Can anyone that was at training tell me if Bally was there, Watched the "Age" telecast and couldn't see him. thanks

Not only did he train, he trained very well and looked fitter than ever. Great training sess, bring on the Cats!!

Well all the boys were saying that everyone pulled up quite well.

And what's this about Beams? I know he had a shocker last week but I don't remember him playing too badly against West Coast.

I hope he plays, his form leading into the finals proves that he can play.

Can anyone get Dr. Larkins to update his % on Darren Jolly now. He was listed at 20 % yesterday according to Dr. Larkins, his curse on Jolly is going the same way as the curse he put on Buddy Franklin, who he said was no chance to play again this year.

Great news - now get Butters to literally wrap Jolly's entire body in three layers of cotton wool, and give him strict instructions to not move out of bed until 10am Sat morning, at which point he is to destroy Ottens and West. Very nearly faced with the prospect of losing two of our most important players for a GF, and do not want to go through that EVER AGAIN! (still hurting after losing Rocca in '03.)

As much as that hurt, Cloke in '02 hurt more.

Ah, good old Dr "I love Geelong" Larkins.

He rated Stevie J a 90% chance, despite SJ not being able to walk properly, let alone train yesterday.

As you say, I'd love to get a quote from him now about percentages.

The bloke is a douche, he predicted Dawes season was over late in the year when he apparently broke down at training.

Dawes was subsequently held back a week before his return, and hasn't missed a beat since.
