Bit early here, brad.

Bit of a shame that North & Hawthorn's positive late season form is resulting in them hitting the bar in Bali early.

Our record in finals against West Coast is 5-0 but that obviously means nothing now. Interesting dynamic of their ex-premiership captain and coach Worsfold trying to plan their downfall. Not overly optimistic at all but got to be in it to win it. The teams out of the 8 not so much but there would be a few teams in the top 8 wanting the Eagles out of their way and hoping for a big upset.

According to the ladder predictor thread, we weren't expected to make finals anyway. Your mob were, so all the pressure is on you guys to perform. Don't see it happening in Perth.

Not in Perth.
With Nicnat back, you guys at almost full strength will win.

After last night can you blame us for not being confident? I'd be worried about Essendon at home even with NN. Optus isn't that much of a fortress. I'd only be confident playing GWS but that won't happen.

Every club has injuries but most pre-season ladder/finals predictions were based on clubs having close to a full list available. We've had ours at this level for perhaps about 3 or 4 weeks for the whole season and some fairly important players too have missed large quantities of the year. Like I said though... every club has them but a select few (us and Collingwood to name two) have been smashed around more than most.

Take your best forward (Ben Brown) and some of your best midfielders/small forwards/key defenders out for long stretches of the season and North would be bottom 4.

We will most likely have a very early finals exit (again) but it's a shame that if North (0-2) and Hawthorn (0-1) reversed their fortunes against the 8th placed club their seasons would still be going. :) Great to see you're so interested in Essendon making the finals though as 3 of your posts in this thread (out of 8 in total) have been discussing it. No complex or anything though.

WC supporters need to just chill, last night was an anomaly - a blip on the radar.

If there was ever a year where a team can win it from the bottom half of the 8 it's this year.

Essendon do pose a problem with their speedy ball transition through Saad / McKenna, but I'd be backing the coasters in this one.

The other games:

Bris v Rich 1 pt

Giants v Dogs 38 pts

Cats v Pies 5 pts

West Coast Vs Essendon - 40pts- no way West Coast will put in a bad performance for this game, they will never let it down
Geelong Vs Collingwood - 10pts- Can't trust Geelong in the finals and certainly not at the G. Have to go with Collingwood
GWS Vs Western Bulldogs - 25pts- Beat them a couple of week back
Brisbane Vs Richmond - 25pts- don't think they did enough at the G to prove they could beat them.
