For now, the Washington Wizards select Randy Foye.

Sorry guys for holding you guys up, but I did PM Weekend GM with my picks.

Anyway, with the Wizards final pick we select Kendrick Perkins.

Things are coming together gents. Sorry about the draft though it's been a bit of a drag, I'd definitely do things a bit differently if we were to do it all again, but that said we're into the final round and we should have it completed very soon.

Anyhow, just some general reminders etc about the league

Season starts this coming Monday. But first we need to get a few things done.

Free agency begins as soon as the draft ends. You need 13 to 15 players (not including guys playing overseas) so get a bid in on a free agent if need be. PM Agent Smith your offers (DON'T PM ME!!!) by Saturday midnight on the Weekend GM site with your offer, I'll be checking all offers and announcing the winners on Sunday. There is no need to disclose your bid to anyone, it's all kept behind closed doors.

I'll be entering all drafted players into the ESPN rosters before the weekend. Make sure you set your roster correctly for Monday, including adding any free agents you may pick up over the weekend.

Rocco and Raff still need to sign up on ESPN. Raff, let me know if you still can't get in.

Lastly, the following GM's need to get their player salaries up on the spreadsheet no later than Saturday midnight:

POR - Rocco
NOR - ECU
LAC - Hans
ORL - smashh
DET - Sammy D
SAN - Dmin
WAS - Deledio2Tambling

All GM's that keep their salaries up-to-date and set their ESPN roster properly every week will get $1m every month from now until February ($5m total) This money can be used in trades, free agency, or even saved for next season.

QUESTION?

What if you put in bids on 2 or 3 players in free agency and win 2 or the 3 of them. You basically only wanted one but you were bidding on others in case you missed out on your first preference. In the end you end up with all 3 blowing your salary cap big time!

Will you monitor that and basically only afford a team a player if they have room under their salary cap? This is necessary i believe.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing.

I was planning on detailing my preferences in the PM, i.e:

Preference 1: Player A for $10m
Preference 2 (only if Preference 1 is unsuccessful): Player B for $10m
Preference 3 (only if Preferences 1 & 2 are unsuccessful): Player C for $8m

etc...

Not sure if this is valid and whether GM will have the patience to process all the permuatations :p.

Yeah I was thinking of doing the exact same thing. Also, Weekend GM, I've entered my roster onto the spreadsheet.

Good idea, we'll roll with this.

So what's the go with Free Agents..?
If a player is on say, $12m, $18m, $18m, do we then make bids say something like $8m, $12m, $12m and th highest bid gets the player?

This is somewhat confusing to me, as there are a couple of different ideas going on.

Are you saying teams will be able to make multiple offers across different players and basically pick which one they want in the end? That seems pretty irresponsible and unrealistic. I say if they go over, they go over. You should have to wait if you have multiple bids out and are worried about your team's cap.

Oh, and the Suns pick Brandon Rush.

ECU is on the clock. I have his pick if you'd like me to make it GM.
