Re: 39 of top 50 teams created purely for Round 6.

Good effort obscura, too bad you didn't finish first.

Better a BF poster wins the prize than a random :D

Re: 39 of top 50 teams created purely for Round 6.

Surely the Herald Sun can do something about this. Absolute farce.

Maybe players must have played a certain amount of rounds to be eligible for the weekly prize.

No prizes for finishing second

I finished 4th. Picking Fletcher in the end cost me. 400+K used on him when I would have gotten Shaw instead if I knew he wasn't going to play. In hindsight I should have figured the Bombers would rest someone so old in a longer season.

At least they can track obscura down and remove his teams easy enough, he's second this week and listed in the bigfooty supercoach ladder.

Some people really need to lighten up, it's a loop hole that exists for only one season. Big deal, have a crack at it yourself instead of complaining about it.

If they really wanted to stop it they could have suspended the prize for multi bye rounds, either way everyone had the opportunity to do it and try their luck.

Scared much?

Re: 39 of top 50 teams created purely for Round 6.

It's ridiculous. And I hope they check the weekly winner's IP address for other teams too.

Not sure how that could definitively prove much. There'd be families, share houses with uni students and the like which could have 5+ people using the same computer to create and edit their SC teams. Sure, if they really wanted to investigate the results, but why would they? It sucks, but what can you do? As if the HS gives a rat's arse. They just want as many teams registered as possible.

And while it may not be as worthwhile as the past three weeks, with Collingwood having the bye this round, I reckon it will be a freshly created team winning the prize again.

scared?? of?

Dear Virtual Sports,

As a good upstanding member of the fantasy football community, I feel it my duty to inform you of some violations of the rules of your competitions:

As the person who owns these duplicate teams has said in here:

This is a new team he created to break the rules:

and his original team is in the following league:

I thought you would appreciate finding out about these cheats, so we can work together to stamp them out.

Many thanks,
Parasite.

Good idea, would probably stop it from happening...

Maybe they could award a $1000k prize to the team that has the best 3-week average (obviously excluding the first two weeks), or have a rule that your team needs to have been in the competition for three weeks to be eligible. It would be a bit similar to how a player's price only changes after their third game.

The other option would be to simply allow people to have multiple teams. I mean, if HS/SC are so keen to have as many teams as possible, surely it wouldn't be a problem unless slow server and processing times were an issue?

There was actually a similar thread to this one on the YSCC forum the other week as well.
