Hey guys so here goes again. I'll have a go at doing the top 20-25ish picks. I'll update with explanations at a later date if I have the time, but I'm extremely busy with uni work and will be until the semester ends. Again assuming I have the time I'll update this post after the trade/free agency period. As for right now I'll be using the following predicted final ladder order:
1. Sydney
2. Adelaide
3. Geelong
4. Hawthorn
5. Greater Western Sydney
6. Western Bulldogs
7. West Coast
8. North Melbourne
9. St Kilda
10. Melbourne
11. Port Adelaide
12. Collingwood
13. Richmond
14. Gold Coast
15. Carlton
16. Fremantle
17. Brisbane
18. Essendon

As always any comments and/or criticism is welcome but please remember to keep it constructive and respect others opinions. As I've said previously I'm no expert so take this at face value. Anywhere, here goes...
Pick 1 - ESS - Hugh McLuggage
Pick 2 - GCS - Jack Bowes (Assumed bid by Brisbane here)
Pick 3 - BRI - Sam Petrevski-Seton
Pick 4 - FRE - Todd Marshall
Pick 5 - CAR - William Brodie
Pick 6 - GWS - Harry Perryman (Assumed bid by Richmond here)
Pick 7 - GWS - Will Setterfield (Assumed bid by Richmond here)
Pick 8 - RIC - Andrew McGrath
Pick 9 - PTA - Jack Scrimshaw
Pick 10 - STK - Ben Ainsworth
Pick 11 - GCS - Brad Scheer (Assumed bid by North Melbourne here)
Pick 12 - GWS - Kobe Mutch (Assumed bid by North Melbourne here)
Pick 13 - NTH - Daniel Venables
Pick 14 - WCE - Tim English
Pick 15 - WBD - Tim Taranto
Pick 16 - HAW - Jordan Gallucci
Pick 17 - ADE - William Drew
Pick 18 - SYD - Dylan Clarke
Pick 19 - ESS - Joshua Battle
Pick 20 - BRI - Shai Bolton

Assuming that Bowes gets bid on with pick 2, Gold Coast should still hold pick 8 which was traded from Melbourne last year

Possible, I'd forgot about the 20% discount on bids when I did this. I'll fix it up after the trade/free agency period.

thanks for your efforts with the PD WEEVZ

Ben Ainsworth- yes. your other selections for us- Shai Bolton, Jordan Gallucci and Sam Powell-Pepper.

of the players you still had available with those picks, at 16 & 21 i would prefer Jy Simpkin and Alex Witherden* at 22 i am happy with SPP but would be tempted by Dylan Clarke or Josh Rotham. would also be interested in Shai Bolton if Clarke, SPP and Rotham were gone at 22. i think 16 is too high for SPP as there should be better options still available there.

* am i going blind or do you not have Witherden in you top 50? is that simply because of the injury or you just don't see him having the talent/potential to make it at AFL level?

Got to say I agree with previous comments.

No chance GC draft their own academy player. GC already have 4 second round draft picks next year, and no one rates Scheer as a first round draft pick.

Can't see Griffen Logue falling that far down the first round.

As blueiris and jason pm have mentioned, apart from Ainsworth at 3 (4), can't really see Brisbane drafting Bolton with our second pick. With Berry off the board, Witherden really fits a need and Simpkin is probably bpa. At our 3rd and 4th picks, SPP is possibility. Another here who would prefer Dylan Clarke.

GWS should be drafting at least 5 kids, and have enough banked picks/points to match a bid for Mutch or Sproule in the second round.

No Witherden who I would hope Brisbane would look at instead of Gallucci and Berry gone to Port. Not sure Brisbane would draft 3 smalls in the one draft and us needing running defenders
Fair enough, thanks for the feedback guys. My thinking behind Bolton and Gallucci was that you guys desperately need midfield leg speed.

And as far as Clarke at 16 (18), 21 (23), 22 (24), I feel that's a touch too early for him to go.

Clarke definitely at 22. No way at 16. At 16, there should be a player more valuable to us. I can understand Gallucci at 21/22, just other players I prefer.

Marshall isn't a good selection for our first and we wouldn't match a bid for Waterman that early.
You sure? Personally would've thought you guys need to be thinking about a replacement for Kennedy now so that by the time he's retired you've got someone ready to come in who will have had 3-4 years of development put into them.

On Waterman, fair enough though if I had to guess I'd say a bid for him would come in the late 2nd to 3rd round.

I just see Marshall as a reach at 12 and I've heard next year is better for talls.

I'm hoping we get Waterman with a late pick, otherwise I wouldn't bother.

Wonder how many are tied to academy clubs or are father sun prospects. I know two of the tall forwards are academy kids, one for Bris and one for GWS.

Yup and those two right now are viewed as being the best of the key talls in next years draft.

Next year is better for talls yes, but look at it this way. How many years does Kennedy have left? 3? 4?

You can wait till next years draft certainly but it's a year less in development that you could be putting in to a Marshall or Battle from this years pool (though I don't see you guys reaching for Battle as he's too similar to Darling).

I like North's picks, but what can you say about Graham?
Tough inside mid, you probably don't need someone like him but always good to have depth. If not him then I'd say a key defender is a must for North. Off the top of my head you've got McKay and Durdin waiting in the wings but not much else back there once the older blokes retired. I'd be shocked if North isn't one of the clubs chasing Mitch Brown (the one that was just delisted by the Eagles).

The 2014 draft, we got Neilson (smaller kpd, not much faith in him atm), Vickers Willis (replaces Firrito as that taller medium defender) and Durdin (though he played more as a forward), plus McKay in 2015 can play forward or back (prefer him as a forward kpd). The depth is there, just really untested at this stage, though Vickers Willis is rated highly at north and really should have played this year.

I definitely think we'll look at Ketial or a younger kpd in the rookie draft tbh, but we may target our second rounder at one as a long term project. We canned Nathan brown as a trade, due to his age, so I believe we'll do the same with Mitch, who are both a tad past it for where north is at currently.

True, and I forgot about Tarrant and Hansen.
