Where would be the best place to find good quality original WEGs?
Depends on the year.
1997-2014 are all available for $3 at the Childrens Hospital Appeal website, except for 2004 and 2005.
Ebay and sports memorabilia shops for the rest. Closest one to me is in Smith St, Fitzroy which has most years.
1897-1953 originals (retrospectioves produced in the late 90s) at harvtime.com.au.

I assume you are after 92 and/or 94. These are reasonably rare because an unpopular team won and the production run was smaller. Much rarer than 90, 93 and 95 from the same vintage. 96 also relatively rare.

What's the name of the shop in Smith St Fitzroy mate?
I'm looking for an original 1971

Memorabilia on Smith, just north of Jimmy Grants and Woolworths. Wegs are at the very back of the store up the steps.
Gardenvale Collectables may also have it, although heaps of old ones were lost in a roof flood (see youtube video)
Failing that, maybe try Weg Art in Bayswater. Has reprints on display, but also has originals in storage off site if you call first.

Where do you get your frames, and how much?
I have a collection of about 50 and want to bulk buy.

For the record, my collection is:
All Collingwood originals (except 1958), stacks of 2010
1954, 1958 reprint
Buckley and Swan Brownlows
All South Melb
1944 Fitzroy
All Grand Final originals between 1988-2017 plus 1984, 1986.
2010 Grand Final Draw
Boomer Harvey games record
1999, 2007, 2009, 2012 and 2017 Storm
Various Boxing Day

I've also got the Storm posters
A mate of mine has a frame shop, but he lives up in Kilmore, which is a bit far away
He does my frames for me, and he charges $90 each

I'd think framing any of the old ones if they are originals would devalue them mate..

Correct, I'm after good quality Original 92 and 94 weg posters.
Give me a yell if anyone finds them, as I've been looking around for a long time without luck

cheers

Mate check eBay
Original 92 and 94 Weg posters selling for $275 each + $15 postage, from the same seller
Look good quality too

Hold on second while I pick myself up off the ground. $3,000! You have to be kidding me? I was thinking maybe a few hundred at best. Maybe I should investigate this further.
I'd suggest a losing 73 in very good condition would be worth quite a pretty penny, although collecting your teams losing posters isn't something I do
Like anything, condition and rarity determines worth!

Not weg posters but here is my Herald Sun Sunday Grand Final collection

1997-present

Excellent. I have them going back to 1978 including The Age, Sunday Observer, Sunday Press etc & sporadically before that. Unfortunately they aren't worth much but great keepsakes. Even WEG posters have dropped about 30% in value over the past 4 or so years.

Yea more sentimental value plus they are a great read.

Hey WEG tragics,
Would anyone know anything about this WEG 2008 Believe Tasmania 2015 Premiers poster?
Mine not best condition - I just want to know more ?

Serial number in top left hand corner is one way
If it says "Weg art" at the bottom it's a re-print
Without seeing it that's all I can give you atm
Hope that helps

Hi All, does anyone have an original 61 for sale?
I wish there was one!
It's the only original missing from my Hawk collection
I've had to settle for a 61 re-print, signed by John Kennedy Snr and Graham Arthur

Tbh I've only ever seen 1 original 61 for sale, it was in extremely poor condition, and the price was over $2500
Good luck in your search

Yep the 61 one is as rare as rocking horse s**t.

My fav WEG I have is the last one he did in 2008 and its signed by the Captain the NSM and the Coleman medallist.

Hodgey,Sammy and Buddy so 3 pretty good names and it has its own space on my garage wall opposite the Knight 13,14,15 ones.

1961 is rare but the rarest are the 1963 and 1975 losing ones.
