Also, is there anyway to tell if a poster is online? I remember Chief mentioning that there should be a small green light next to the avatar.

I have to install an add-on for that I think.

Following the link to the tipping from the banner announcement takes me to bigfooty.com and as I was hunting around I decided to check out the detail about advertising on BigFooty, with this result:

Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.

Naturally, I didn't attempt to use the search facility, I wonder how many frustrated potential advertisers will?

I also noticed that the disclaimer refers to users of BigSoccer rather than BigFooty and I'm not sure how thoroughly your arse is covered while its that way.

Just sayin'.

It should only be 11pt, but it's picking up a larger size from somewhere. It'll be fixed.

To be fair, the notice at the top of the site links to "bigfooty.com", not the tipping page.

Now onto more pertinent issues:

Can we PLEASE add the option to disable avatars? They're distracting and the box thingo they sit in takes up too much room.

What purpose do avatars next to threads serve? Again, distracting and makes the page looks too crowded. Couldn't find an option to disable it in preferences.

Will the page width be increasing (again)?

Otherwise, don't mind it too much. Looking forward to seeing the final layout.

Using this forum from iPhone is not nearly as easy now. Perhaps it's a combination of the fonts/more scrolling required issues (sorry, I haven't read the entire thread)
Having to zoom in and out to navigate anywhere does not seem user-friendly.

Good Morning just logged back in to the new look site. None of the weekly seasonal Footyhead blogs since 2008 have been transferred through is this a glitch?

Apologies if some of these have been mentioned.

Add:

• Icon that signifies whether a user is online or offline.
• Ability to see who has posted (and how many times) in each thread.
• Option to choose the number of posts per page.
• Option to disable avatars entirely (already an option for signatures).

Remove:

• Avatars to the left of each thread. Probably the thing I dislike most (seems easily fixed though)
• Other teams (in the user info beside each post) if none are specified.
• Trophies and points. Seems a bit childish.
• Staff online now. Necessary?

Change:

• Swear filter substituting unrelated words. Bring back the ****s.
• Reinstate the old ranking system (Newbie, Apprentice, Senior Member etc)
• New emoticons. Not sure if serious -> is the only good one.
• Thread prefixes blend in too much.
• Whole layout of the user info beside each post (more emphasis on the username, avatar shouldn't be on top, AFL club more prominent).

I wasn't logged on to the forum and tried to access the tips, but couldn't log in as every time I tried it returned me to the login page. Then I logged in to the forum, opened the tips in a new tab and was able to log in to tips - not sure if it's an issue, but it seemed a bit odd.

Were you able to navigate without zooming before? I always found I had to pinch to move around on the iPhone.

The fonts at the moment are (a) the same as the old site and (b) bigger than before. What is the issue?

Just quietly, any swear filter that won't let you type '****' or 'campaigner' but lets through '********er' needs more work.

And if we're going to have a 'like' button can we have an 'unlike' one too?
