Avatars are blurred

Blurred avatars are because that image resolution is small. XenForo has more space for avatars then VB, so older smaller images will look crappy blown up to a larger size.

I'm just going to take up space and post something meaningless for practice.
It's freaking awful!!!!!!!!
I understand the reasons for the change but seriously can you not put up a dummy site with some beta testers and sort all this shit out before you move everyone? Or do you guys host this on a couple of PCs in your bedrooms still?
Lastly it is disturbing the extent to which I'm addicted to this site. I had to look at all sorts of uninteresting things on the internet last night in order to replicate the effect of ignoring the rest of my life and it's responsibilities. I even went to Dockerland!!!!

Great start to the new look. Obviously tweaks are required.

My initial thoughts:

1. Website width shouldn't be fixed if at all possible, it under utilises screen real estate. I'm using a 22 inch monitor and only 65% of the screen is used. Going forward you'll regret this move.

2. Tags in threads need coloring. The grey blends into the subject to easily.

3. Tipping labels on the preferences page aren't displaying correctly. Using Firefox.

Looks terrible. The old "if it aint broke" applies here massively. You've broken something that was working just fine.

Unfortunately not. Back end was massively broken, server load was ridiculous and getting worse. This move means less down time, quicker/smoother browsing and less errors during peak period.

Most of the negative feedback is about minor visual stuff requiring easy fixes. Once that gets tweaked a bit it'll be a much better BF experience.

Changed my avatar just then but it hasn't updated, when you click on it in the forums it shows you the updated pic but not when you view it normally

Change the default font, it's crap. Something like verdana or arial would be fine. I know this can be done manually, but the whole board needs a better default font.

Glad chief finally bit the bullet & switched to XenForo. People can whinge all they like, but vBulletin was dead, and the cracks in maintaining an old system were starting to show. Look forward to the new setup maturing.

ATM, getting an error when trying to use the search function. None of my pre-switch content can be searched from my profile. No doubt it'll be rectified at some point. Just a heads up that it's not currently working.

Good effort getting the job done.

A qualm to go alongside team name and the like: The old board was very user friendly, if not clunky, but you could see every thread in a clear contrasting font. Now, its all shades of grey and really rather small. Content is important to posters, not sleek greyscale.

Also, the logo is still BigSoccer for me

Like the way the opening lines of a new thread appear when you hover over the thread title. And the little pop up box when you click on someone else's username is a nice touch.

Overall I think it works pretty well. Not aesthetically pleasing right now, and don't like the fact that I've got so much space unused and the other minor things like teams etc. But in time people will get used to it.
