So why does a single forum URL look like http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/forums/afl-the-australian-football-league.5/

That is, what's the point of the /forums/ ?

Why isn't it simply http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/afl-the-australian-football-league.5/ ?

I quite like it. A few things will need to be fixed over time, including migration of old threads which hasn't quite finished. But overall, I think it's an improvement on the old vBulletin forum, which was starting to show its age.

Yes, on threads you have posted in since the change your avatar goes over the OPs avatar, like that arrow.

Yes, only thing is I cant find away to turn of notifications (alerts) AND emails..Seems you must have one or the other.

Great start to the new look. Obviously tweaks are required.

My initial thoughts:

1. Website width shouldn't be fixed if at all possible, it under utilises screen real estate. I'm using a 22 inch monitor and only 65% of the screen is used. Going forward you'll regret this move.

2. Tags in threads need coloring. The grey blends into the subject to easily.

3. Tipping labels on the preferences page aren't displaying correctly. Using Firefox.

As I think of more I'll back and update this post.

You can select default style (the other option is BigSoccer fixed) in your account -> preferences -> for full width pages. The theme is blue with a xenForo image at the top instead of BigFooty.
